I love the burgers at this restaurant. Hate the shoestring fries, and they are usually excessively salted and seasoned. Because the fries are so thin, we asked for them to be fresh when they gave us our order, and the girl at the window says "they are always fresh"... girl no they aren't. It's cool though I think I will just start ordering my burger and drink. Skip the fries.

This is our third time at Freddy's in Hampton, Virginia, and the food is DELICIOUS! Also, our service has been fantastic, with people coming from behind the counter to check on us. This is a small chain, but it tastes like home-cooked diner food from the 50's/60's. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Burgers were too salty to eat. My son only ate half of his. The same with the cheese curds, none of us could eat them. I asked if I could get the curds without the salt but was told "that's how they come". The fries and malt were fine. Staff were fine except they added pickle to burger ordered with none. Mostly a waste of time and $42.Dietary restrictions: The kitchen staff must pour the salt on, not shake it on.

5 star down the line seems kinda iffy. I love the retro feeling and the food is amazing. A little upset I missed whatever pumpkin seasonal items they have but the frozen hot choclate is something I'll miss when it's gone. Staff was engaging and it didn't feel like they just wanted to take my order and move on to the next customer.

Went to Freddy's on Friday February 24th 2024. Finally tried some food from there, we only tried their shakes in the past. OMG I tried the steak burger combo and within 15 minutes of finishing my meal I became EXTREMELY nauseous and vomited all my food back up. Mind you I was not nauseous or sick beforehand that and I haven't been since. Truthfully, I really think it was the burger and the combination of tasteless fries and not so good onion rings, that did it. Because the steak burger had a faintly weird taste that I couldn't really place; almost like it was fried and fisht grease and the texture was off like it really wasn't beef. Didn't agree with me at ALLMy advice would be just to stick to the ice cream and shakes here. If you want a good burger you can go as cheap as Burger King or Rally's or even as high as five guys and it will definitely be better than this
