Gotta choose your main and sides carefully here. Haven't tried all of the food, but some things are definitely better than others. The fried shrimp and collard greens are the best things I've tried so far. Worst has been the BBQ chicken and cabbage.

They messed up my order and I didn't check it before I got home I order mac and cheese collard greens and meatloaf. But instead they gave me cabbage and collard greens kiss of the first soul food place that I visited and they don't have cornbread to go with the greens and cabbage. Dang you don't eat a roll with cabbage and collards. The meatloaf was delicious and the cabbage was good, but the c collard greens was very salty. I think I'll stick with Bowman's

The food was really amazing just for myself. I had to add a little more pepper and hot sauce and vinegar, but that's only to my liking it's good without it. This is going to be my new spot. Thank you for a great first time experience.

I love going there. The food is great and at a great price. I have never had a bad experience. They are my go to when I want that home cooked meal.Dietary restrictions: Like any soul food kitchen or any restaurant you have to deal with the salt content of any meal. All vegetables are seasoned well but cooked to perfection. But, because I can only eat a small amount at each time, there meal is two meals for me. However for a normal person it is a good portion

Sweet potato pie was BOMB!! Turkey legs were not bad. But a little too soupy for my taste. Plus, admittedly I was mostly disappointed because I assumed they were going to be fried Turkey legs. Never assume. Lol Anyway, I’ll probably be back for more of that pie. Next time I’m in town. Because that was DELICIOUS. ?
