The barista was grumpy, and took a line of orders before even beginning to fill them so we all had to wait. Then another employee (who wasn't even working at this time) offered to help, but was declined (unless she wanted to come back and make her own). And then she made the latte for the person behind us in line (who she obvious knew as well). The coffee was not worth it. Cool atmosphere though! We visited April 4 - I'm thinking it was around 8:30am, but I'm not positive.

I love coming here every time I'm in Harrisionburg. They have the BEST selection of drinks and food of any coffee shop I've been to in Virginia. The staff is always friendly, fast, and willing to help in any way they can.

We walked in and were greeted kindly. But the atmosphere was cold and sort of dark, and it was not comfortable or cozy by any means. The girl who took our orders was sweet and friendly, but unfortunately, our drinks were not enjoyable at all. I got a caramel iced americano - and I know this is a bit harsh - but I think it was the worst Americano I've had. I ended up dumping it outside. My mom got an iced latte and it was very watery so she threw hers out too. My brother got a London Fog and he also said his was watery and bland and proceeded to dump his out as well. We were very disappointed. I can't speak on the food, we didn't get any food items. Maybe the food is very good.

The owner refused me service due to my service dog. My dog was not misbehaving in any way. He was laying on the floor next to the table I was sitting at. When I informed the owner that the ADA prohibits refusal of service based on my disability or service animal, he became belligerent, verbally attacking me and calling the police. He told the police that I was to be trespassed due to my attitude and the police refused to uphold my rights as a disabled veteran. I was made to leave the establishment. I have filed a complaint with the department of justice.

We walked in and were greeted by the lady who then asked if we know what we wanted. My wife and I had never been here so naturally we did not and we let her know this, and then she said "welcome in". I asked about their coffee and their caramel and they don't have caramel sauce, only flavored syrup, but they have a few housemade sauces including mocha. I regularly order an egg and cheese croissant when I go to a coffee shop with food so my wife and I both ordered one each. The egg and cheese croissant is a egg casserole on what seemed to be an untoasted croissant, but after touching it apparently is slightly toasted. This croissant was the most disappointing croissant I have ever had at any coffee shop in my life...and that's saying something. I ordered the mocha, which I don't normally do, but since they don't have real caramel and this was a homemade sauce I decided to try. The mocha tasted more like hot chocolate than a mocha, and as I'm sitting here writing this review I'm wondering if there was coffee in it. Overall I cannot figure out how this place has such a high rating as maybe this appeals to kids who drink coffee because it's cool and not people who actually enjoy their food and coffee.

Was just traveling through. Maybe we just didn't make the right coffee selection out of what they have, but the specials had little to no flavor. In one the milk overpowered the coffee flavor entirely. There was also a whole other coffee menu not shown at the front hung up on the wall near the coffee machine. But we had already ordered so couldnt choose them. Nice atmosphere though.

Atmosphere is for students studying. Food was underwhelming. Coffee was also mediocre. Would not come again.

Love this place always, but as a student it’s getting really tiring to have WiFi that never works and always having to use my hotspot to get work done. I’d stay here for hours if it wasn’t for the WiFi issues!

Highly recommend the Kale Caesar salad if you happen to find yourself nearby during lunch.Overall: Good job maintaining a clean and tidy environment. Comfortable dining area where you can study/work, or kick back and relax. Generally speaking, the employees at Black sheep are very attentive, very consistent efficient, and accommodatingDietary restrictions: Gluten free optionsParking: Parallel parking and parking lot in the corner of restaurant are usually available and easy to access

I come here pretty regularly but was dissapointed enough with my order today that I wanted to share. I always order the Mediterranean panini which is a vegetarian option, however I received the panini with a bunch of chicken. Additionally, I ordered it with a side salad but received no salad dressing and just have a pile of leafs to eat like a rabbit lol. The food here is pretty expensive and I don't complain, but when I spend $14 on a sandwhich I can't eat? Kinda sucks:( Again, I order this weekly or every other week and have never had this issue before. So whoever was working today on 2/17/24 thanks for nothing:(

Best cafe i've been to in harrisonburg!! I myself am not a coffee girl, but I love a good matcha and can confirm this may be the best matcha I've ever had... EVER. The prices are great here and the inside ambiance is very causal and cozy. There is plentiful seating and a separate area with couches to chillax. The staff were very friendly and overall helpful. Highly recommend if you're in town!

I went here based on the great reviews....I wouldn't ever go back. The food was bland at best. I had the Mediterranean panini- it sounded so promising, but was incredibly disappointing. They used thin sandwich bread that just got mushy when the pesto was applied and heated. And the "salad" that came as the side was literally nothing more than a pile of spinach leaves and a cup of dressing (nothing else). With a town so full of actually good food, I don't understand what people are reviewing and eating here. We had been in town several months prior to this and went to Lola's for a sandwich and it was phenomenal. I'll stick to them.

Good food. Good coffee. Food is a bit overpriced but coffee is so worth it! Can get really busy but it's nice to go in the morning or mid day!
