I stopped by here during my trip in VA. I was looking for hookah and Ethiopian food. They had both here. Very nice staff, chill atmosphere. The food was delicious!!

The bartender was nice and fast but its small no room to dance ladies restroom sink was out of order and the price to pay to get in isn't worth it. It's to hot in their and u can't go out to get air and come back in unless you pay again. 1st and last time going.

I feel weird writing a review Habesha as a restaurant because it is a hookah bar that happens to serve food. And I didn't even know they had food until a week ago. The food was good, though. A little limited compared to most Ethiopian places I've been, but tasty. Service was friendly. There aren't really tables. It's couches and coffee tables. It is pretty smoky inside, so I think I'll order to go in the future.

WORST PLACE EVER! There are many different people from different country coming to this place to have a nice time . Iam dominican and I asked for a dembow and what i got in response was “i cant put that because my stage will get empty” like seriously? Disgusting treat.

I’m a relocated local who was visiting after actually considering buying the bar a few months ago myself and I’m more than disappointed to se show it’s being operated, note on the door stating the business was opening at 8pm tonight only to find the DJ sitting in his car for an hour and the business still closed at 8:33 after waiting for 20 minutes, DJ called owners who stated they were on the way and would arrive at 9. As social it was never a customer service issue

Disappointment. Waitress smoking hookah with another coworker all over her. Didn’t check on us once. Bring back social

The food was absolutely AMAZING! I have traveled many places and tried many Ethiopian cuisines but this one by far is the BEST I’ve had. Not to mention the service and vibes was awesome. I’ll definitely be coming back!
I love this food. I used to get it when they were over on S. Main Street under the name Hope Restaurant. I was glad to find out that they simply moved locations. I order takeout because now it's in a Hookah bar. I love the tangy Injera and the bouncy unique texture it has. The flavors are just so delicious. spicy, complex, meat perfectly cooked with a nice blend of spices. The portions are very big and it's worth the price.

Very good service. Small seating area for non-hookah smoking diners. Average Ethiopian fare, not up to DC area Ethiopian restaurant standards.
