Joe's puts you in mind of how it was years ago at a dinner/ truck stop. The service is always great. The food is delicious. We've ate there several times and have always had the same experience. This place won't be for everyone. But if you remember growing up in and out of places like this it will suit you just fine. Definitely planning on returning next time we come back to Harrisonburg.

The roast beef was trash. I got my plate, and it was completely brown. The whole plate was covered in gravy. The green beans were blant and soggy. I'll pass on this place if I was you.

My husband and I walked in the side door through the diner to the front door where a sign said wait to be seated... we waited about 7 minutes while 3 waitresses worked the floor. We ended up leaving after the time standing there and not a greeting from and of the 3 waitresses.. " seat yourself", " we will be right with you" .... nothing... uncomfortable and hungry we left...
