This place is just outstanding. As Guy Fieri says " Shut the front door". We had chicken satay as an appetizer, mee kathi (red curry), laab(pork in a lettuce wrap with sticky rice). If you like Southeast Asian food our meal was really really good. Absolutely give this place a try!!

This place is renamed as LaoLao now, but it haven't changed the fact that their foods are phenomenal! The potion are quite large and you'll definitely get you bang for your bucks here! I recommend the Fried Tofu from their Lao's menu as a starter, then you can either go with the classic Pad Thai or try something new such as the Crispy Chicken Basil or something brothy like the Mee Kath. This place is one the hidden gem of Harrisonburg, VA. You should give them a try next time you're in town or just passing by. Trust me you won't regret it!

Definitely a cute mom and pop Thai/ Lao restaurant. The food was fresh, authentic and very delicious. I highly recommend trying to place if you're in the area.

The fried tofu was absolutely delicious! The other items we ordered were also great and freshly prepared. Cheerful staff, timely service, clean.

Solid Thai selections with no real disappointments on the menu. Order dishes spicy , most are a little bland when ordered "as is".

My wife and I have been going to restaurants everywhere for about twenty-five years and Siang Khene is the first one she wanted to go to a second time within the same week. The food here is that good. On the first night we tried their Laotian noodles and their catfish, and both were 'melt in your mouth' great. The second night we tried their lemongrass and port sausage, which was uniquely interesting, and the two duck dishes on the menu. Both fantastic. I only wish our stay in Harrisonburg was longer and we'd go a third time.

I found this spot off of Yelp, and turns out, it is owned by the same chef as PADAEK in Falls Church and Thip Khao (14th St, DC)! Such a small world to find an amazing spot in the heart of Harrisonburg! The food was AMAZING!! (As it is in all their other locations)! We got their Sai Oua (sausage-10/10), Laos Papaya Salad (10/10), Chicken Pad Thai (9/10), Pork Laab (10/10), Spicy basil shrimp fried rice (10/10 (large portions of shrimp), and their Crispy Chicken Basil (8/10- only not lower because we enjoyed the other dishes more) I don't think I'd be making the trek down here for Laotian/Thai food, but if you're in this area and craving authentic cuisines- do come here and support your local APIA businesses!! You'll be in for a treat- guarantee!!

Generally decent Laotian and Thai dishes, but their Naem Khao and Sai Oua are simply the best. Not one of the best; the best. Period.

Just popped in real quickly while travelling down from NoVA and heard about this place from a streamer I like (SheaWhatNow on YouTube). I'm so glad I heard about it because I 100% recommend the food

The food here is amazing! This was my first time getting takeout here and the process was seamless. We ordered chicken pad thai (thai spicy), chicken basil fried rice (thai spicy), drunken noodles (mild), chicken tom yum soup, and spring rolls. Everything was absolutely delicious! The staff was incredibly sweet! If you're looking for incredible food, this is the place to be!
