Being brutally honest here, I've been down in this area working for the past 5 years now and the quality has majorly dropped off from the first visits years ago, except for the staff which has always been very accommodating and top notch imo. The steak has often been tasteless and grisly and the sub roll which I believe has been changed from the past is not very authentic to the South Philly traditional roll (Amoroso or Liscio"s) or proportionate to the amount of steak given. While I'm sure there are other factors in play here it's just not the same or quite frankly very good anymore, it's a shame because this place could be easily one of the best in the area if they just reverted to old form.

In the area for Saturdays farmers market & found this great spot. Great cheesesteak sandwiches!

Just stumbled on this place last weekend. The place is small but they are adding on right now so they will soon have outdoor seating available again. The atmosphere is really cool inside. Cool tunes, metal wall signs all over the place and just a great vibe. I was not expecting much as my wife has celiac and I have a gluten allergy but I we were able to order a gluten free wrap and the food came out hot and very tasty! I was really impressed with the entire experience! I am absolutely going back and I would recommend to anyone.

Tony and I went to get a "Great Cheese steak" and the food was Great. I was a little surprised that there was NO designated parking for the restaurant. Finding on street parking was a challenge since we were not from the area. But a little walk doesn't kill you and definitely needed it after we ate. We went in and opted to eat inside the restaurant instead of the outside dining area. The outside dining was nice with tables and overhead roof. Inside was nicely air conditioned. There was about 4 tables with bar stool seating. Full bar and Tony's favorite PBR on tap We ordered the Urgie's Special 12" Cheese Steak Hoagie with Route 11 Chips and we ordered Peorgies with fried onions and sour cream. The food was very good. We shared everything. I asked for BBQ sauce for my sandwich but didn't need it. The sandwich was very spicy. First time with Pepperoni on cheese steak but it was good We would definitely eat here again and recommend to others! Great atmosphere Great friendly staff and great food! Gender neutral bathrooms and no parking were negatives. I just didn't like the dirty urinal in the bathroom.

Best cheesesteaks in the valley by far! Get the Urgie Steak special, you won't be disappointed!

Nice little food truck and bar in downtown Harrisonburg serving up what it says in their name. Friendly servers, good drinks and pretty good cheesesteaks! Not exactly Philly quality but definitely the best you'll probably see in that part of Virginia.

The steak and cheese was too chewy for my liking and it was mostly bread. The fries barely had any seasoning on them and the food was way overpriced for the portions you get.

Great place to eat. The best value is the footling with all 3 cheeses. Must stop if close by

2 star for the friendly staff member that waited on us and how quickly our food came out. Based on the food a one star if I'm being nice. It was steaming hot but had no flavor. The portions for the fries are ridiculously small for the price.

Waited for about 10 minutes while the servers and cook told us they'd be right with us. Finally told they decided to stop taking to-go orders. Could a said something sooner. Thanks...

I was really excited to try this as a Philly cheesesteak lover. We waited in the outdoor area as the inside was really busy. The food took a really long time to come out. Someone also stole my cheesesteak because the cashier called the wrong name and nobody really cared so the vibes were off. For the cheesesteak, the steak was really peppery and not my favorite. I'd personally rather make my own cheesesteak and save a lot more money. Too expensive ($11) for the quality and amount that you get. They also added barbecue sauce to the Buffalo chicken cheesesteak. Not sure if it was a mistake or if they just make really weird Buffalo sauce. All in all, would come back in a pinch but definitely wouldn't rush back.

Overall, the staff here are extremely kind and incredibly inviting. Not only do they enhance the game day dynamic inside, but they're incredible people and get to know each customer on a personal level. As for the food, I was a bit dissappointed in the serving sizes, as for the price they were a bit unreasonable; however, the food was rather good. If you're in the area, ESPECIALLY around game day, I'd highly recommend urgies.

I ordered their steak to go. I also ordered their fries. The delivery was very prompt. The cheesesteak was good. The onions were cooked perfectly. I ordered extra cheese but got no cheese. I had shredded cheddar at home, so I used that. Be careful ordering their hot peppers on your steak, they are HOT! I love spice and peppers. These were just about too hot for me. It was way too hot for my husband. I split my sandwich with him, he had already had eaten earlier, he decided after the food arrived he wanted a second dinner. The servings are so huge it easily feeds 2-3 adults. I could only eat 1/4 of the sandwich and my husband could only eat 1/2. I ordered their regular size. Their fries were excellent. I highly recommend and would definitely come back here again.

Amazing service and food! The bartender Amelia was so attentive and such a sweetheart! My steak and cheese was the best I've had in Harrisonburg... and I'm a local :) The manager Jeremy made sure to come by and ask me how everything was, my experience all around was awesome and I highly recommend!!
