I cannot recommend this company more! My husband and I were so incredibly impressed with everything they did for our wedding. From the very beginning Maria and her team were so easy to communicate with!! As soon as we contacted them, they immediately put together a menu for us to work from. The tasting went SO well. We left the tasting knowing that we had chosen the right team. Before the wedding the team attended the walk through at the venue and made sure that everything we wanted was ready to go. The day of the wedding went great! The food tasted just as amazing as it did during the trial and the team was incredible. Everything was also beautifully displayed and visually appealing!! They really took the time to make sure that all of the details were perfect. All of the staff members looked happy and excited, and like they genuinely wanted to be there. They were so attentive to our needs too!! I seriously cannot recommend this company more!!

Not sure where to begin.In short, communication is not their strong suit.I tried to order additional items for our menu to accommodate more people.It was like pulling teeth. You would have thought that we asked her to give us the food.She did not want to do it.Based on the calculations from the original contract, the cost should have been an additional $1600.However, Maria added things that we didn’t need and sent us an invoice for additional $3500+.When I contacted her to discuss the invoice, she acted like she didn’t understand what I was talking about.She even pretended to be another person on the phone.I know it was her because I had talked to her several times.On the day of the event, she didn’t prepare all that we ordered.I wasn’t there but a member of our group took pics and sent them to me.When we ran out of food, she implied that the attendees were greedy.She claimed that each person had several plates packed high.Her catering was part of a wine tasting event. The only reason we used her is because she was on the vendor list for the winery we attended.Beware! Use this company at your own risk.

From the first contact and through the entire planning process, Maria was very responsive and promptly answered all my questions. Her recommendations were spot-on. The food, presentation and service were all excellent. I would not hesitate to book with them for any future event.

Highly recommend Chef’s Table Catering! Maria and Augustine were phenomenal from the very beginning, professional, courteous, detailed, and helpful. Given our Latin cultures, we wanted a very Latin menu for our wedding. Not only were they able to accommodate us, but our guests loved every single item. The service and attention they provided was top notch. Couldn’t have asked for a better catering experience!

The Chef’s Table, on a scale of 1-10, rates 9.9 for food, 10 for reliability and way over 10 for service. Based on two events, I would recommend them highly.Their food was excellent in both range of offerings and enthusiastic reception by my guests. Though tuna steaks once were dry, the sea bass another time was moist and delicious…and frankly my guests said they were amazed. Consider that for both the bass and for half racks of lamb — three mini-chops in one piece — both entrees were prepared in Herndon, transported (by the owner!) to the Georgetown waterfront for an hour’s wait until our chartered boat arrived, then another 90 minutes onboard until dinnertime. Yet the chops were warm, pink and fine tasting even without the chimichurri sauce. “How do they do it?” people asked.Because The Chef’s Table has a $1,000 minimum for food, for a small party I next tried another caterer with only a per-person minimum. Big mistake: Nine days before the party, we still didn’t have all menu questions answered nor a final price. That Thursday I asked The Chef’s Table if they could jump in at the last minute and produce a comparable menu in time; the next day they delivered a proposed menu and a firm price for Saturday a week later — and it turned out wonderfully.Another reason for the 10+ service rating was our on-site server/cook, who took over after the owner again (!) delivered the food and equipment. He worked quietly, efficiently and pleasantly with no need for supervision, then cleaned up and left the kitchen spotless. Indeed, we felt we’d gotten something extra because though we’d arranged for stationary hors d’oeuvres, our server/cook passed some of them around the gathering so the hot hors d’oeuvres stayed warm.In my corporate life before retiring, my job involved many high-dollar catered events. I’d say The Chef’s Table ranks with the best. I’d use them again anytime…and no further experiments with second-rate competitors.

Maria and Augustine were so accommodating, flexible, and responsive to our needs in planning our wedding reception. Every question we asked was answered in a timely manner, they had helpful suggestions, and Augustine spent a lot of time reviewing our bar needs to make sure we had what we needed for our wedding size and type of event. Due to the pandemic, TCT even allowed our parents to do a preliminary tasting to help us set the menu before we could finally go down months later (!) to taste it ourselves. They even went above and beyond to accommodate special dietary restrictions of some of our wedding guests.Speaking of, the food...is FANTASTIC! Everything they served was cooked beautifully, and we received nothing but compliments the entire time. This is not your ordinary wedding food, and I would highly recommend TCT for your catering experience!

The food was amazing - the service was amazing! They know how to entertain and it shows:) They helped us create our vision and brought it to life. The Chef’s Table catered our wedding in August 2021 in Reston, and they did a truly fantastic job. We couldn’t be happier. Maria and Augustin are very detail-oriented and wanted to make sure everything was perfect. Our guests loved the food, some said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. They took care of so many details so that we could simply enjoy the moment of our wedding. HIGHLY recommend!

The food and service were incredible, and Maria and Augustine were such an important part of our wedding. During our tasting they asked us to rate each dish from 1 to 5, and every single thing was a 5. They took our concerns about guests' dietary restrictions very seriously, and every guest we spoke to raved about the food and hospitality.

The food itself is great, but communication regarding numbers throughout the wedding planning process was awful. These caterers were hands down the most stressful part about my wedding. If you are a couple who doesn't care about being nickled and dimed and just wants the job to be done- no matter being ripped off, then book them. If these guys are your only choice and you do care about money- you have to be extremely assertive about the contract and what you want. ...Example: They wanted a 5% buffer on food and equipment for 95 guests plus vendors. So they kept pushing for 120 servings, plates, napkins, etc. It took about four emails back and forth to explain that 5% of 95 is 4.75 which gets us to 100...not 120.And then they tried to say that we didn't pay for the vendors' meals after THEY wrote in THEIR contract that the numbers were for 95 people (90 guests plus 5 vendors). Again, the food is good, creating your own menu is cool, but please be vigilant and stand your ground.

The Chef's Table catered my wedding reception, and they did an AMAZING job! Many of our guests agreed that the food was the best they'd ever had at a wedding. Maria and Augustin were super helpful and kind throughout the entire planning process. The food was absolutely incredible! I cannot recommend them enough! 10/10!!!!!

The Chef's Table did an excellent job catering both a lunch reception and a dinner reception for weddings our team photographed last month. Their team was very professional and friendly at both events. They had a unique menu with a great variety of options for the plated meal - and the food looked amazing! It was the perfect touch of elegance to a beautiful wedding day. I'm not sure whether their team did the desserts at the dinner reception, but if they did - they were amazing! I couldn't help but sneak a jelly-filled cookie during some downtime at the reception and it was sooooo good! Everything they make looks delicious!
