I appreciate the pride and effort made by the owner to prepare food that is organic, fresh, without the use of salt or seed oils. You can tell they are proud of what they are providing and the customer service is excellent as they cater to your needs and are patient with explanations of the menu w/ recommendations. The lasagna was a big hit, the jackfruit bbq sandwich was tasty served with asain potatoes and a salad. All of the portions were a good size. There are only 2 to 3 mnoenu items without tofu. They also serve plenty of healthy muffins and cookies. Pizza can be ordered in advance on select days, which I haven't tried yet. A few people like to add their own hot sauce or pinch of salt but I found my food tasty as is. If this were a local establishment, I would be a regular customer. This is the type of venue I enjoy supporting and seek for healthier eating. The restaurant is cute, neat and clean. They were nice and served us outside at the bench since it was a nice day.

Drove over an hour in the rain from PA to get here with another person to eat inside. Inside we were told there was a special event and cannot be served for more than 3 minutes. We didn't come here to wait so long for food. It would have been nice if they said on their website they had the special event and we wouldn't have made the trip waste our time and gas. The heck with this joint. We went to Naked Lunch instead!

So, I'm far from vegetarian or concerned with organic products. We wanted to try something different today and decided to make the drive to this place. Well, very pleasantly surprised. The food was very tasty, all of it.We had the lentil loaf and the jack fruit bbq sandwich dishes. Both accompanied by a very tasty salad. The dishes were hearty and, also surprising, very filling. No room left for dessert. We will visit this place again and will recommend it.

Food is a bit pricey. However, it is very good for you, your health and well-being, so it's worth all the money. Very cozy restaurant and authentic green based foods.

Take all my money! I love this place so much. It's healthy, satisfying, and delicious. We drove 40 miles to get here because of the reviews and this place did not disappoint. Food served quick and was steamy hot. No oil, no added salt, no added sugar, no dairy... and yet incredibly succulent. Ordered lasagna and enchilada, both were excellent. You could see the vegetables loaded up in each dish. Chocolate nut pie arrived semi-frozen but that's how it's served, I guess. It was good and tasted healthy, not too sweet, but sweet enough. Excellent service too. Will come back again and with a crew.

The blueberry muffin was fantastic! I definitively recommend! I also tried the bbq cauliflower, enchilada and a taste of the Thai bowl. I really enjoyed the Thai bowl. The food overall was refreshing and I am open to going again. I'm typically a big meat eater so to say that I left this restaurant happy and full is a huge compliment.

I'd give 4 stars for effort - they have a loyal advocate in a gentleman named John manning a stall/table at a farmers market at Lake Anne shopping center swearing by their organic food. According to John he is just a customer who has been one for many years. He had their delicious mini muffins - I love their ginger one, naturally sweetened. So much so that I had to drop by Greenfare after I left the market and on my drive back to VA Beach. There were a couple of tables outside, where people were being served. Inside, it reminds me more of an apothecary haven - health books, healthy menu items, very zen ambiance. I love the story behind the motivation to eat healthy, to heal ourselves with what we eat. I love their mini muffins!!

Found the restaurant on a whim; we were visiting from Rhode Island for a couple of days. So happy we did. Having such excellent food with no added oils/salt is a rare find. Having those same foods be better than places that use all the unneeded additions is just mind blowing! We enjoyed the fried quinoa and tofu dish and the ginger stir fry bowl. We couldn't decide for dessert and we were treated to a little sampler of the chocolate mousse and the pumpkin bar.The service was attentive and genuine. The location itself is surrounded by literature for living a clean eating life but nothing is being pushed on you if you're just looking for a good meal. If GreenFare was in New England it'd be my go to place to eat.

The gentleman who greets you and brings the entrees out is very nice, however, the owner is rude. The beans are undercooked, which can lead to food poisoning. I will not be returning.
