Lucia's is always rock solid. A go-to for Family gatherings in the back room with great, friendly service and tasty dishes and pizza.

The food is fantastic; having grown up on Italian food in NJ.My issue is with one of the managers. There is nothing better than fantastic Italian food accompanied with good red wine.I came in on a federal holiday (Monday) and was surprised at the fact the bar was packed at lunchtime.Regardless…. I ordered my food, but also wanted some great red wine.My server recognized me, and understood when I asked how long the bottle of red that I wanted was open.Within a few minutes… someone (who was clearly the front of the house manager); yelled out loud “Am I giving this away?” Because I wanted a sample. My server tried to talk her down, and in the meantime, the daytime drunks sitting at the bar chimed in about free samples. You need to figure out how you want to sell wine.Don’t you dare expect a guest to pay a chunk of change for vinegar (wine opened for more than 6 hours)…especially when you carry a decent wine list.Give your guests some credit. And please… don’t embarrass us when we ask for a taste of an open bottle.

I love finding small out of the way places when I am away from home. We had a crostini appetizer, cheese pizza, and the specialty pizza which was brie with caramelized onions, prosciutto and arugula. All was so good! We ended the night with the homemade gelato. Yumm!

The hostess is always nice. The wait staff are attentive and show a customer centric view. The sandwiches are comforting. It is nice to sit outside in nice weather, even if it is just a parking lot view.

People there are cordial, helpful, know people by name, efficient. Very clean. Food, delicious ?! My husband loves the tiramisu; I love the mint chocolate gelato & the lasagna. Portions are enough to share or have more than 1x. They have also worked w community groups. They also are good to their employees, arranging time off at some add holidays. So while we love the food, we also appreciate the owner's community spirit.

I was in the area on business and decided to try this restaurant on a whim. I am glad I brought someone else with me, otherwise they wouldn't believe me. This restaurant's quality is tremendous. The pizza is absolutely phenomenal and don't get me started on the dessert case. Most places I've been to serve tiramisu half the size of what you get here and they're not even half as good. If you're just passing through the area, do yourself a favor and stop by for some top notch eats. I almost forgot to shout out the staff, they are fantastic and you can honestly tell they have passion for what they do. I may be a couple hundred miles from home, but I will come here again.

Pizza was horrible... sold a leftover pizza ? to me. Not fresh... simply dry.

Food quality is fine. Be aware that their idea of an Italian sandwich is meat and cheese on bread with basically nothing else. There was a little hint of oil and vinegar on the bread but this sandwich is dry like the desert. The quality of the bread, meat and cheese was above average, just surprised this is their normal thing. It could benefit massively from something to offset the incredibly dry composition of this sandwich.

Great place, awesome family recipes. Service is always on point. "Go to"for authentic Italian home cooking and also have a fantastic sandwich menu with a wide range of choices. In 18 years living in Reston, we have never had a bad meal from them.

Dining out with two little ones is always a challenge, and Lucia’s never disappoints. Leah always welcomes my kiddos at the door and is enthusiastic to share the most recent drama from the aquarium with them. The atmosphere is welcoming and very family friendly. Angela, our server, anticipated my anxieties and served children’s drinks with lids! And the Tutti (the works) pizza with anchovies was perfection as usual. So much so that my six year old kept stealing more anchovies! Highly recommend!
