My friends and I went for happy hour. This is not a traditional restaurant. The concept is a bar that surrounds the kitchen/food prep area. They offer several HH food and drink specials. They list a Cove Kitbar punch but when requested, I was told it was unavailable (odd since I assumed it's a signature drink for them) so, I ordered a mojito. It arrived and looked nothing like what I expected. The mint was old and the drink color was too vibrant. One sip and it tasted like straight limeade. No, I did not ask for him to remake my drink. Instead I ordered a glass of wine. My friend said her cocktail was weak and the other one said she didn't think they used Bacardi in her drinks because she got a headache shortly after. The food was ok but not worth going out of your way for. The tater tots tasted like freezer burn so I wasn't sure how to feel about the small portion size. The margarhita flatbread was delicious-they have an open hearth oven for cooking. The vibe of the place felt off. I guess it threw me that they had a couple of air fryers sitting on the bar as part of the kitchen. They were initially short-staffed but everyone seemed to arrive at once. I think at that point there were more staff than patrons. The bathroom was clean as was the bar area.

I have been here 3 times now and I swear it gets steadily worse.Tried the goat cheese chicken and they managed to overcook the chicken and undercook the vegetables. You know it’s bad when you’re looking for the salt and pepper on the table… absolutely no seasoning and just tasteless.I almost choked with the dryness.Service was good so no complaints there.

I went there with my buddies today ordered the Burger ? . The burger was cold and the tater tots were half cooked. I complained about it, the server promptly apologized. I think the problem is systemic as the neighboring table complained about their burger ? too. The staff is just enduring the brunt for the kitchen and management. Got a headache eating the semi cold burger, Big Buns is way better on consistency. Something the management here needs to learn about and not put their serving staff in an awkward position by serving bad food from the kitchen.

The food service was very slow. When the food was received, the sandwich was warm and soggy. The food tasted okay, but not worth the price or wait.

Stone's was recommended to us while we were on business travel in Herndon. The restaurant is big with lively music playing. The 4 of us found a spot at the large bar for lunch. I'll start with the good: service was fine. He was friendly and checked on us often. The food came out fairly quickly. It should since we were practically the only ones there. Now the bad: we ordered a salad, wings, pasta and shrimp and grits. The 'homemade ranch' was basically mayonnaise. You wouldn't think you couldn't mess up a salad but this place definitely did. T took 3 bites and was done. The pasta was tasteless. The sauce was watery and bland and the extra chicken I paid for was dry and bland. I added tons of salt and pepper to it and still didn't finish half of it. The wings came out smoking hot. So hot it burned D's fingers. After reading the reviews below, we found out it's because they microwave their food. Sauce was also bland and he also did not finish his plate. The shrimp and grits were the only edible item, and that was because C hadn't eaten for 18 hours she was starving. All 4 of us agree we will not return. 3 stars because our server was great, the bar was clean and food came out fast. I can also see this being a really fun happy hour spot when the drinks start flowing (as I've also read in reviews). Maybe come here if you're just planning to drink. Skip the food.

Just left from the establishment not even an hour ago 2/16 I'm in town on my birthday I chose this place because it had good reviews and I'm very disappointed the hostess that took our order seemed to be unaware or unknowledgeable about placing a carryout order didn't take my name and or give me a price. We came back to pick up our order with no napkins and silverware and we are staying in a hotel napkins and silverware would have been nice regardless of the waitress being new we still tipped for mediocre service maybe it was a one off but no happy my birthday meal sucked and my flatbed was cold?

The food was amazing. Breakfast tacos and Johnny Cakes were both superb. Friendly staff and a great environment. We'll be back soon!

I will never eat here again. The service was awful. Came here on a business dinner. We were greeted and sit fairly quickly. It took forever to get our first order of drinks. The staff immediately seemed frazzled and was clear under a lot of pressure / disorganized. We ordered our drinks and one app. Our drinks were delivered with no acknowledgement by us. I was actually surprised my drink was there. Then someone different than our original server came to take our food order. Our food was delivered before our appetizer. When we followed up we were told it was only a few minutes. I ordered a Caesar salad with steak. The steak was being made in the grill top and the person making it said this is a weird steak and then our server yelled at him a few times asking if it was done. He kept touching it with his fingers to test doneness. When the salad arrived I had no steak knife to cut the steak. The salad was not dressed. When I asked for dressing they gave me a small bowl with what seemed to be frozen dressing. I asked for a replacement and they delivered the same frozen dressing. Ultimately I had to request a different dressing that was not frozen. Food was blah at best. No one ever followed up with our seats for over 30 minutes. No drink refills - nothing. The restaurant was at half capacity at best. Absolutely never recommending this venue again. Not sure why it's rated so highly. Maybe a decent place to come for a social and a few drinks but do not recommend eating there.

I had forgotten that we had been here before. Now I recall why I hadn't returned. The food was on par for the type of restaurant that it is. That said, do check it out for yourself. Most tables were full, and people were enjoying themselves!

Good place, been here many times for work lunches. I would say 4.5 stars. My coworker didn't get his sandwich until 15 minutes after everyone else... Stuff like that has only happened a couple of times over many

The concept of a kitchen and a bar smashed together is long overdue. The cocktails, appetizers, beer selection, menu and service is an above and beyond. ? recommend this establishment!

Food and our server was fantastic! The interior doesn't match the high quality and classy food. Interior looks like an old hamburger bar. The server was really great! Food was delicious. The shrimp and grits did not disappoint, it was so good! Definitely coming back!
