Went there to meet my daughter. The place looks like it hasn't been attended to very run down looking.

Ricks is always like a vacation for a day! I am so sorry they are closing. We'll miss you. Thank you to the owners for providing our area with years of great mini vacations! You did a great thing for our area!

Always great place to go. Very sorry to hear this is the last summer for the current owners. They are amazing! Also all the bartenders are fantastic and work extremely hard to make sure the large crowd is taken care of.

Food and service was delicious. I had the crab soft pretzel which is a medium size pretzel. My boyfriend did the crab cake sandwich which was a delicious crabby crab cake. The fries were tasty too. I also had an excellent orange crush.

Shrimp was good, but southwest egg rolls were burned. Drinks were ok, but service was slow.

Very cute place, rode my bike, felt very welcomed, service was attentive and quick. Only draw back, place has a bee problem, so sweet drinks are no go. I had wings.Parking: Huge gravel parking lot

A fun lunch find! We enjoyed an unplanned lunch at the beach while on an errand run. This is a casual, locally owned, family friendly place on the Potomac. The crab cake, hand breaded chicken tenders and Old Bay fries were a hit. We will definitely come back again… brunch options look good too!

This is a great place to spend an entire day. We swam during the day, ate a great meal around 4 then enjoy some drinks and dancing to a wonderful local band. Great atmosphere where everyone was super friendly and great to be around.

It was nice to sit by the water, but the food was very poor. Drinks, Margarita was just ok as well. They called it their specialty drink. There was nothing special about it.

Great time, fun music and good food and great atmosphere. Next time we will go a bit later because we had to leave early since it was so hot and humid and couldn't wait to see what happened when the sun went down.

Stopped here with a friend recently. There is no indoor seating which is tough on a hot day. There is a pavilion to sit in with ceiling fans and the outdoor bar is nearby as is the indoor bar which did not seem to have indoor seating. We sat at a table on a sandy area with an umbrella. It was a bit hot to do so. I really did not like the offerings of the menu. I thought there would be a shrimp dinner to order but there was not. I am gluten free and the tacos selections were choices of fish, shrimp or southwest chicken. Unfortunately their tortilla taco shells are made from flour, which is clearly marked. They had fried shrimp but did not have spiced shrimp. Being gluten free, I can make a meal of spiced shrimp and a side of cole slaw or a salad. We had a couple of drinks and chips with crab dip. I could not taste the crab in the dip and also the chips were not crisp. The restaurant just opened at noon, so no reason for the chips to taste as though they were not store properly and picked up moisture. We were going to have lunch here but due to the limited menu we went to Tim’s 2 for lunch Atmosphere would be nice I think in the evenings. Probably a great place to have a few drinks and burgers.

We had an errand to run in the area and decided to try a place on the Potomac since it was a nice afternoon. We arrived at Rick's at 4:45 and were surprised to hear the kitchen would be closing at 5:00, so we would have to order quickly. (I hate doing that to kitchen staff, so we would have arrived earlier if I had known.) We asked for an outdoor table and were seated close to the bar. I was not expecting the heavy cigarette smoke in the air and ashtrays on table. Our waitress was very friendly. She brought us a pitcher of water and ice with two cups, which was very welcome on this warm afternoon. We said we were aware the kitchen was closing soon and quickly looked over the menus. I picked out the crab cake sandwich without tomatoes, as I have an allergy. We also ordered hush puppies and my husband got the wings with Old Bay fries. A couple of minutes after ordering, our waitress returned to let me know they were out of the crab cake, so I ordered a po' boy without tomatoes/pico, again reminding her of my allergy. The hush puppies served were served hot with butter. However, they were pretty bland other than tasting vaguely of cornmeal. Our meals arrived and I discovered my po' boy was covered in tiny diced tomatoes with the pico. I let the server know I had asked for it without tomatoes due to an allergy. She checked the order ticket and left with the sandwich. My husband had to eat his wings while I waited. Another po' sandwich arrived in a to-go box, this time without tomatoes. It tasted okay, but I felt bad for the kitchen for having to redo it when they were closing. I also tried a margarita, which was decent. We waited for a while when we were finished eating and my husband eventually had to go to the bar to find someone so we could get the check. In all, we probably wouldn't return here. Of course we liked the scenery, but the food and smoking situations made us wish we went somewhere else for dinner.

Ricks has bands and a marina with gas for your boat! I had the Angus burger with pepper jack cheese. This is my new favorite boating lunch and hang out location
