They have great beer and the bartender actual has interesting updates about their changing beer menu and what's happening locally. From start to finish, Black Walnut met and exceeded our expectations and provided the perfect setting for a memorable evening.The atmosphere at Black Walnut Brewery was exactly what we were looking for—inviting, festive, and perfectly suited for our 50-person welcome party. Despite the chilly weather, the thoughtful inclusion of heaters ensured that our guests were comfortable both indoors and outdoors. The venue's proximity to parking and our rehearsal dinner venue made it incredibly convenient for our guests, especially those traveling from Dulles or DC.The inclusion of signs added a personal touch, making it easy for everyone to navigate the space. The restrooms were well-maintained, and the overall setup contributed to the welcoming atmosphere.While there were some good food options, it was the drinks that truly stole the show. Black Walnut Brewery offers more than just beer, and the selection of drinks was exceptional. The bartenders demonstrated efficiency and skill, ensuring that our guests had a great time enjoying the various beverage options.Communication with the Black Walnut team was also great. Easy via email, from the initial planning stages to the day of the event, the staff was professional, friendly, and attentive to our needs and the needs of our guests. Unlike other venues, we were pleasantly surprised that we weren't charged for the space. This gesture allowed us to focus on creating a welcoming environment and ensured that our guests could fully partake in the fantastic drinks Black Walnut has to offer.Our wedding welcome party at Black Walnut Brewery was a truly memorable experience, and we would do it again in a heartbeat. BWB has morphed into more of a bar. They still make their own beer but just less of it and they have other beers and whiskey. Still a decent place to hang out when they have the back open, especially if there is music. But the place doesn't have the same vibe it did in the early days.

This is a delightfully quaint brewery. The bartender, Maria, was cheerful and knowledgeable with recommendations for the hearty, full flavored stout. The Beach Party lager would be ideal on a hot day, unfortunately we were in when it was snowing! We enjoyed sharing a locally made Nordic pretzel with our beers. She also gave us excellent tips on other places to eat, and enjoy different beverages.

Went in tonight during a bike ride. The red headed server never greeted us and in fact left from behind the bar to talk to someone while we stood waiting to order. She finally took our order without a greeting or even a smile. Great location for bike riders but there are two other breweries just as close to the trail.

Black Walnut Brewery is a really fun place to hang out and enjoy local brews that are not afraid to venture outside the box. My husband and I were visiting Leesburg for a fun night out and almost walked past this brewery, but there was something about the place that just made us curious to want to venture inside. I'm so glad we did. The bartender and other patrons were really welcoming. We ordered two of their darkest beers and grabbed a chair to just sit back and relax. The peanut butter porter was as great as I expected and the chocolate/berry stout was actually really good too. The music play list was right up my alley and I found myself singing along to some great Country hits (I was not the only one). My husband just shook his head and laughed, but he knows anything he says will just further encourage me...lol. They are pet friendly and have multiple rooms to enjoy as well. They have great t-shirts along with beer for sale. I definitely recommend Black Walnut Brewery to anyone who enjoys a little adventure and great company while sipping some local brews. Thanks for a great experience! :-)
