This place has it all! Real authentic Chaat food, inviting atmosphere and professionalism by all workers. The owner spends time with his guests and is always going above & beyond to create a remarkable dining experience. I enjoyed the Dahi Bhalla & Gajar Halwa and will definitely be returning until I have enjoyed EVERYTHING on the menu! HIGHLY recommend Chaatwala.

Amazing Food and Excellent Service. Tried Pav Bhaji and Puri Chole. Both the items were soooo good. Best Pav Bhaji I have eaten in the DMV area. Will go back to try other items soon.

I love Indian food and have been eating it for decades, but Chaatwala was an entirely new experience. The menu is comprised of lots of different forms of chaat (street food) from all over India. I hesitate to call it Indian tapas, but it's a reasonable comparison. Jay (sp?), the owner, explained all the various menu offerings and, after picking out a couple dishes ourselves, we put ourselves in his capable hands and worked our way through the menu. Every single dish was delicious. The outstanding food was enhanced by Jay's descriptions and explanations. He's a passionate ambassador. If you like Indian food but are sick of ordinary or just want to try something new, make Chaatwala your next culinary destination.

Awesome quality authentic food topped with amazing service! Proprietor (and multilingual) Jay makes sure you are enjoying the food in the same spirit as he has created it. Expensive but quality stuff costs $! Highly recommend this eatery

Service here was excellent! The owner takes a lot of pride in his restaurant and went out of his way to greet every customer and ask them how the food is. There is a game room to go to while you wait for your food which was a very cool touch. I celebrated my birthday here at the end of January and the owner brought out the cake my family brought for me with candles on it. He also gave us extra dessert on the house and played a "happy birthday" song on the speakers. It was a great moment and I'm so glad I celebrated at Chaatwala!!!!

Stopped by for breakfast on saturday. Surprised to see lot of menu items unique to western india which are not available usually. Poha, Misal Pav, Dal Pakwan to name a few. We ordered parathas, puri, samosas and poha. Everything was made from scratch and authentic. Portions are huge and very filling. The setup is self service and plenty of spacious clean seating. Being in a corner the walls are windows on all sides , giving a very bright open look to the place.

Tried it after seeing their rave reviews in google.. taste was just ok.. It was funny to see only one teaspoon of masala in Dabeli(see the pic).. lemon pieces with PavBhaji were almost stale with brown color on edges and bhaji was not hot.. not a serious chaat place..

My husband and I had a great experience at Chaatwaala. We were greeted very warmly by the owner. He explained to us about his restaurant and how he started. If you are craving for Indian street food, this is the place to try ?

Finally!!! A place that has real chaat. No bulls***. Have been visiting this restaurant when they were located elsewhere too. They now have their own place and its really nice. Pick any dish and its hard for you to go wrong, but there are a few dishes that are a must try - their Masala Puri and Chole kulcha are out of the world. Loved them. Recently had their break pakoda and kanda poha from their breakfast options - comfort brunch food for weekend. The white butter they have on their paratas, just elevates it. Ever smiling and friendly staff - quick service and best of all, kid-friendliness. They have a game room for timepass as you munch on these great food options. A must try if you are in the neighborhood. Have also had them cater for our get together parties - always a hit amongst the guest.

Delicious food, great customer service and a lovely atmosphere. The food is the closest in taste to what we're used to eat in India (But not too spicy). For all kannadigas- the masala puri, gol gappa(ask for pani puri), coffee etc is the closest thing you could find for what you find in Bengaluru. Can't wait to taste all the items on the menu.!Vegetarian options: The entire menu is vegetarian!

We came here to try their chaats. Ordered gol guppa, dahi puri, sev puri, aloo tikki chaat, bread pakoda, vada pav, samosa pav, misal pav and stuffed chhole kulcha between 6 people. Serving size is really good, and this was more than enough food. All the dishes were very delicious, but the misal pav was exceptional. It has spicy kolhapuri masala and the taste was authentic! The service and interaction with the owner was also great. Their breads are made fresh and are worth trying!
