I was in the mood for mexican food and since this was right off of the main street ID decided to stop in. While it wasnt packed, it wasnt empty either so it took a few mins to get a seat. They brought out the chips and salsa and these were the nice big chips that had salt on them so i was happy about that. I ordered the carne asada tacos that came with rice and beans. It was a healthy sized portion so that was nice, but other than the rice being good the rest was bland. Overall, it is a nice place that can scratch the mexican food itch.

Service was very kind and quick! Love the iconic donkey statue out front. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to know each other, even a person grabbing their pick up order seemed to know the staff! I was alone so I planned to sit at the bar but there was only like 3 bar chairs all occupied by staff? The rest of the restaurant was very empty on a Sunday, with only 4 other people in the restaurant. The food was just okay! Overall: not bad, just okay!

Wow!!! I had never felt so comfortable in a restaurant, Mr. Luis Davila's attention was very good, very attentive, and very kind to us. He undoubtedly loves his job and there are very few people like him compared to other restaurants I have been to... ?‍?️ Magnificent restaurant with a very good and pleasant atmosphere. I recommend it!!Parking: It is very safe, I could leave my car unlocked and I know nothing will happen, very safeKid-friendliness: Yes, I took my nephews to eat that day and Luis served us spectacularly.

This restaurant has staff who know how to effectively economize ingredients for flavor and appeal--my favorite entrees are their delicious enchiladas.Vegetarian options: Adding more salads will draw more revenue from patrons who are preferential to vegetarian foodstuff.

Lately food and service has been inconsistent. Not the excellent place it used to be.

We have been going here for years and have always loved it. We know the owners and always get great service, food, and prices. The enchiladas are my favorite. The salsa is fantastic. The margaritas are on point. Highly recommend this spot. If the weather is nice we like to sit outside.

Ordered tamales. The chicken was undercooked and in big chunks not shredded. Old lettuce was served on my plate. Took one bite and asked for the check and left. Very disappointed.

This is not authentic Mexican food. Growing up as a Mexican in California, I wanted real Mexican food without having to make it myself however, I should have done just that. I mean the refried pinto beans are from a can and lack flavor, the Mexican rice is from a box not fresh, the carne asada lacks seasoning and the salsa for the chips is gross. I won't be back.

We were in the area helping an old friend and I remember going to this restaurant 20 years or so ago. I remembered the donkey in the front. Unfortunately, it's not as good as I remember or my taste has become a little more refined. My food was cold and tasteless. Not really cheap, not a great ambiance, either. Sort of like a cafeteria feel. I had the steak fajita salad and DH had the chicken chimichanga. They don't serve Coke, didn't know that until we saw the Pepsi line item. As a Mexican, I do not recommend. There are many better restaurants in Northern VA to bother going to this, unless you are in walking distance or something.

Ami, I liked what I ordered, it was grilled chicken and it was good, only the rice was very salty, the beans were good for me, it was good. Only my companions didn't like their food because what they ordered was beef. and they said that it is very hard and with a lot of skin and the rice is very salty.
