*Writing my review again to update that after seeing a picture on LinkedIn the employee that we overhead shouting at customer was actually the owner, Monica* Apparently she likes raising her voice at customers but then replies to reviews with "blessings". Completely unacceptable.Visited for the first time to warm up from snowy days. Free parking was a bit difficult to find close to the store, especially due to snow plowers but ended up parking in the public garage a block away (sharing as tip). Store is very cute and cozy, has amazing treats and delicious tea. We couldn’t decide what to get but we did the tea and it had many options- macarons & scones were the winners. We liked the atmosphere but service from the staff was not all that great and could definitely improve. I get that after pandemic is tough to find the right crew but hiring young staff and not providing the right training hurts a business. I went with my sister and thought we would get some quiet tea time but there were a lot of children playing and going up and down the stairs — wasn’t expecting that but it looked like they had a large birthday party that took over the venue. Not sure if this place is meant for children or we went on the wrong date -- would love clarification on that as we are 2 adults. Towards the end we heard 2 employees arguing with a customer about exceeding their allotted reservation time. Looked like the customer seemed confused and not aware she had a time limit and one of the staff members continued to shout at customer. Would be willing to visit again for those macarons/scones as a pick-up only.

Went with a friend to check out their afternoon tea (which you need a reservation for) and ended up having what is called Elevenses on the menu - basically a light tea. It includes a pot of tea and your choice of a tea sandwich or mini croissant and scone or macaron. Naturally, we opted for all of the above (at extra cost). The croissant and scone are served warm and so were eaten first. They were delicious but very small - just a couple of bites each. The tea sandwich was cucumber and cream cheese, which was disappointing in its lack of flavor and the dried out state of the bread. The macaron was excellent, you have a choice of anything in the case, so I chose the creme brûlée.The main dining area is upstairs and is beautifully decorated in feminine pinks and pale grey, very Bridgerton! Seating was comfortable and we were able to sit by the window with views up and down the street.Food was brought up and then we were left to relax and chat. We didn’t see a server again after that, so it’s just as well the tea pot was large.Overall, it’s an experience that I would recommend. Next time we will reserve the traditional tea and hope for tastier savories.

I loved the vibe of the place, super cutesy for photos. I docked points because this place is not middle eastern/muslim culture friendly. The staff brought out bologna sandwiches in the private tea room and I asked them if they had turkey instead and they did not make accommodations. The teas they offered weren't even the closest to the best teas I've ever had in my life, they were mediocre, which was disappointing since this was the whole vibe. The caffeinated teas werent caffeinated enough. However, the desserts were amazing and met expectations. The price paid for the tea party felt like I was paying more for the cuteness rather than the quality (why not have both).

This place is absolutely disgusting. we found an ant in our fruity pebble macaroon. The manager, Monica Pindell was extremely racist to my younger cousin because she is a person of color. She kept an eye on my cousin the entire time she was there. When a little kid opened a drawer and took a straw from there, the manager did nothing at all, but when my cousin opened the drawer, she yelled at my cousin and told her "Do not touch that! Get out of here now!" The workers here are very nice but the manager is an immature racist adult and we have never had any problems with the store until the manager shows up and decides to ruin a family's day.

Beautiful place! Parking is hard to find so just go to garage. When there is an event, the service isn't great. The servers were extremely nice and welcoming! It was just slow. We will go back again.

I attended the Queen of Hearts Valentines Tea with my girls and giving this place 2 stars. The place is beautiful and the tea and food were mediocre. The service on the other hand was absolutely terrible. The place was extremely understaffed and the young ladies were overworked. It took an hour to get our teas and waited another 20 minutes for cream and sugar. We asked 3 times for cups of water to drink but the ladies were so busy, they kept forgetting. I always over-tip at restaurants because I understand how hard service workers work but I was shocked at how the ladies kept hounding us for an 18% tip (they literally kept asking how we’d like to pay the tip after our bill was paid). It was so uncomfortable and awkward.I think the Valentine’s Day tea is overpriced and underwhelming so my recommendation is to maybe visit this place when it’s not so busy. You might get hot tea in a timely manner and a glass of water to wash down the dry carbs they give you.

Would def visit again for those macarons on a slower day of the week or do a pick-up.

A great place for kids and young adults, Mocatinas offers a wide variety of food, drinks (adult beverages too), and snacks. There are walls of candy and toys, and they offer free cotton candy on Saturdays. That's nice. They also serve pizza and have a cozy upstairs dining area.Come here if you like candy, I guessKid-friendliness: Kids like squishmellows and candy, right?

I had a lovely unrushed Tea with my daughter on a rather busy Friday. Kai was wonderful. She made sure we knew what our options were (I’m gluten free). Service was excellent as was the tea, scones, macaroons and sandwiches. We also loved the elegant ambiance of the tea room.Dietary restrictions: I had a very nice gluten free Tea with my daughter!

Mocatinas is the place you would find Elle Woods and Barbie having a pink tea and a pink macaroon, of off pink plates, while sitting on pink chairs and surrounded by pink walls. My cousin, her daughter and I got dressed up, (not in pink) and we went to Mocatinas. Wow, this place will be in a movie some day! It is so picturesque! There's flowers around the arch outside! Do you need to ask what kind of flowers? They're pink roses of course! Upon walking inside, there's pink everywhere, the stairs are absolutely adorable! There's motivational pink words on each step! The stairs are decorated with pink garland. There was a variety of pink sparkly nutcrackers. We came here for some macaroons and "afternoon tea". We selected the raspberry champagne tea, and four macaroons. We got the unicorn, creme brûlée, Bavarian and fudge and English Toffee. These macaroons are truly beautiful! They are colorful and so elevated, some are basically ready to come to life. These are made fresh each day. They are $5.00 each. So we took the inspiring stairs upstairs where we could be seated. The room we could go into, was all gray. The other pink rooms were blocked off with the sign "Adults Only". I don't have a problem with gray, but I was a bit confused, what happened to all the pink? Shortly after the waitress came and brought us our goods. Everything was pink, the kettle was pink, the plates, and our teacups were pink. This tea was pretty tasty, it was fruity and light. Unfortunately, there wasn't any honey or sugar anywhere. I would have to go downstairs to ask for some. The macaroons were all very delicious, creamy, fresh and delectable, except for the unicorn, as expected that one was way too sweet. They also offer ice cream, lunch, coffee and some alcoholic drinks. We had a nice time at Mocatinas. It is a bit costly, but it is a novelty place. Now that I've been here, I don't see my self returning.

The manager Chi was awesome with us. Always smiling and very helpful. Walking in it's like a fairy dream you had as a child. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone of all ages.

So beautiful... it is a dessert shop were you can get treats, candy, ice cream, coffee, tea and much more. Not only is the store bright & beautiful, but the staff are sweet, nice & helpful. I can't wait to go back and try some of the pastries. They give free cotton candy on Saturday from 3p- 5p Everything looks amazing. If you're visiting leesburg, VA this should go on your sites to visit, see & treat yourself.

Tea options were unique and delicious, as were the sandwiches and desserts served with it. Service was friendly and the vibe was relaxed and fun.
