Ordered a beautiful two (2) tier cake for my Mother-in-law’s 80th birthday. Lemon cake, raspberry filling with buttercream frosting. Everyone raved of how moist and delicious it was, they wanted a second piece! I’ll be ordering from them again!Update: ordered a second time for a gender reveal and remembered to take a picture! Again, beautiful work, delicious cake, and easy ordering. Glenda is awesome to work with. Best kept secret in Lynchburg.

I’ve gotten two cakes from them and they knocked it out of the park both times. As long as you give them a weeks notice they can make anything. I asked them to make a track and field themed birthday cake with a hammer in dirt. They did an amazing job and the cake was absolutely delicious. This place is more than deserving of business and I’m planning on returning to them more in the future.

I have so many memories of my dad getting the amazing pies for Thanksgiving & Christmas from Chestnut Hill Bakery when I was young. He's been in Heaven 18 years but I always will remember those white pie boxes that we couldn't wait to open! Their desserts are just as amazing now as they were then!

THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL EXPERIENCE. I ordered my mom her FAVORITE birthday cake for her birthday, I tried to call the bakery AT LEAST 3 TIMES. I was never called back. On the voicemail it said the ONLY way an order would be received is through the website. I ordered the cake, literally EVERY DETAIL AN IDIOT would need, WITH my phone number. Was I called back? Absolutely not. “Apparently they sent” an email to me for confirmation. I show up to pick up the cake and was told that the cake was not made, that they didn’t get a response through email. I asked if they could please fix this and make it after I explained the details & was told no. AWFUL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. The owner followed me to the car and told me I could have a baby cake for a birthday party ?liars & lazy employees.If you want a good cake go to Kroger‼️‼️‼️?????????

The reason we've always used this bakery for thier birthday cakes to cup cakes or pies & fresh homemade rolls is because everything they offer is fresh & delicious. Most everyone is really picky about their birthday cakes some like whipped icing some like the original icing which Chestnut Hill offers both. If you've never stopped by the bakery do so & grab you up their famous cream puffs, they offer the original size or the smaller size....I promise both are delicious. Chestnut Hill is Lynchburg's oldest & best bakery!!

Love this place. I have so many memories. My mom used to take me as a kid and we would get cream puffs every week. Time went on I took all three of my kids and grandchildren now. I even rember taken my mom to the doctors in lynchburg when her health started going down hill. I would tell if she will go to the doctor I would take her to chestnut hill after her appointment. She would go just so she could have a cream puff.
