Aesthetics are nice however, this place is popular so their small space is packed. Food is why it is packed, very good!Parking: Free parking lot in a strip of stores that all use these spaces. Crowded and fills up fast. Saw people parking next door and walking over.

We are new in the area and were on the lookout for a great country diner. We found a perfect cozy location which featured some country breakfast foods with a Hawaiian flair. Service was great and the server made some great suggestions. The spiced apple latte was nice with just a bare hint of apple. The noshie bowl was a nice touch to get a feel of their baked goods. Highly recommend the blueberry hand pie, warm and the pastry nicely flaky. The chicken for the chicken and waffles was crispy and the syrup balanced out the breading. The loaded grits bowl was the ultimate country comfort food for breakfast and very filling. We would love to stop by again and try something different next time.

I hope Ken and Jess continue to open restaurants, because everything they do is wonderful! I grew up in New Jersey, so when I heard a "Jewish Deli style Southern breakfast joint" was opening up, I was intrigued. When I found out the same owners of County Smoak were opening it, I was even more interested. Everything I've had here is wonderful and the service is great, even when the restaurant is packed. They have a nice variety of food and drinks that you don't see everywhere else in Lynchburg. This is certainly our favorite Sunday brunch spot now!

Some friends and I were visiting Lynchburg area and decided to try County Sunrise for breakfast this morning. Man was that the best choice we made all day or what! The awesome staff greeted us with a warm smile and coffee as they opened the doors first thing. They brought us out a few treats and answered a few questions we had about some items on the menu. Let me say that all 8 of us enjoyed our meal (biscuit and gravy, breakfast sandwiches and I can't remember what everyone else had), but I know we all left full and satisfied! We will definitely be going back when we are in town again. We even decided to try their lunch menu next time as well! Everything is made from scratch and very tasty! If you live in the area and have not tried this place...you are missing out! Best breakfast in a long time and I travel the world. Their restaurant is very vibrant, clean and made us feel at home. Nice decorations and I definitely am digging the penny bar top. Thanks again for an amazing breakfast...until next time!

Should be 4.5 stars, because the waitress only forgot my cream. The atmosphere, a little too intimate because of proximity to the next tables, isn’t a deal breaker. Could have had a decent dinner for two in home area for the price of breakfast. Sunday morning and the place was packed, but we didn’t have to wait long for a table. Nice couple got up so we could have the table for two. That was the overriding atmosphere…friendly. Half a dozen Lynchburg Fire members were eating at the counter. If you know of fire fighters, you know they like good food. My egg sandwich was cooked perfectly to order, husband’s eggs Benedict was the same. Bathroom was clean. Would come here again if in the area. We’re from upstate NY.Parking: Not a huge parking lot, but we had no trouble. Might depend on day of the week and if adjoining stores are open.

My son treated me to lunch today and it was amazing. The space is a bit cramped and noisy but the food and service are top notch. I got a small pot of loose-leaf tea, which is unusual for me to get in this region, and every table gets a variety of fresh tiny pastries, also unusually nice. There were two homemade jams that were out of this world that came with them, and I applied them to my chicken and waffles so it was next-level delicious. My son also loved the pulled pork hash. It was about 50 bucks total for two lunches so it's not something we'll do often. Definitely our new spot for special occasion brunch. It is a clean but crowded dining area and I hope they can somehow expand. They were very busy on Friday lunch and that might be the busiest time, but there is inadequate space between tables. Not a place to have an important discussion but great place for a delicious meal.

My mom and I came for Sunday brunch around 1pm. We were able to get 2 seats immediately at the bar. Soon after sitting down, we realized the draft from the front door made that area feel very cold, so we asked to be put on the list for a table away from the door instead. The hostess was able to secure us a table asap to make us more comfortable. She was genuinely very sweet and accommodating to move us so quickly during the busy brunch time. Our server was great, too. We loved the complimentary basket of adorably tiny baked goods and fresh fruit plate that arrived before our meal. Of course, the food was delicious. Everything from service to ambiance to food is well worth 5 stars.

This place is a local gem! Food was delish. I guess you get what you pay for as it was expensive for brunch IMO. We paid $22pp with taxes/tip added in for brunch orders. Again food was amazing and our server was on point. There was a 15 minute wait for the table and seating area is pretty small. My favorite menu item was the pot o tea! I mistakenly ordered Lavendar London Fog which looked like a cup of milk with a hint of lavender flavor. Then I ordered the Lavendula Grey which came in a pot with loose tea leaves! They had an adorable honey jar upon request. My bowl of grits was amazing and substantial enough for 8 hrs. They delivered only one tiny Nosh basket despite 3 of us each ordering full brunch platters and the items were just a teeny tiny taste. Pineapple muffin, biscuit, and berry pie were scrumptious but it leaves you wanting more as it was just the tiniest bite (no exaggeration)Overall great pricey brunch spot. Give this place a try!

The service as well as my food was amazing!!!!!! They seem to be a very busy place and my sons grandmother goes a lot and says it’s always busy! You don’t have much room but they make very good use of the space that they do have! They bring out pickles, small biscuits and so many other small little snacks for you to try while your food is being prepared! Faye was our server and she was really sweet! I tried to Asian wings and the ranch wings and they were 10/10: I also have the bacon slaw and it rather good!!Parking: You’re parking in a lot with several other businesses so it’s not slot of parkigun but you can park.Kid-friendliness: It was several children there and even a couple beside us with new born.Wheelchair accessibility: It’s on flat service and handicap accessible so you can wheel a wheel chair in.

***PREMIER BREAKFAST OF LYNCHBURG***We have always loved the incredible food here, however today really moved us. After informing us of a shortage of gravy the manager allowed us a free choice of replacement meal and some to go pastries!! 10/10.

It was my first time I didn't know what to order..I kept it simple and ordered the brisket chili. It had about 5 pinto beans, and 3 pieces of brisket..the rest was chili flavored mush of some sort. And the cornbread was cold like out of the refrigerator cold..I will give it another shot maybe breakfast next time.

Absolutely phenomenal! The service was great. They were attentive, courteous, and helpful. The pricing was good for what you got. The portions certainly didn't leave you wanting. The noshy basket was the perfect touch - we loved the variety of noshies and each one was great. Our food was served quickly. The latke Benedict was fantastic. The perfect balance of flavors and herbs in the latke, the hollandaise was rich and smooth, the ham was the perfect thickness and offered a great complimentary flavor to the entire dish, and the poached eggs were cooked absolutely perfect. My husband got the biscuits and gravy. The gravy was perfectly thick and loaded with sausage crumbles. It was seasoned perfectly, too. The biscuits were huge! They were soft, fluffy, and had a beautiful golden brown crust in the exterior that held up well to the gravy. The atmosphere was awesome, too. Every seat was filled, but the ambient noise wasn't overwhelming. It was clean and not crowded, despite the number of customers. The service stations were always clean, regularly declutter and wiped down. The staff was quick to clean tables when people finished, to get the next group seated. We left completely satisfied and have every intention of returning. Phenomenal food, phenomenal service, and atmosphere. We would expect nothing less of Ken and Jess!
