I have loved Hangry Joe’s Lynchburg from the first time I tried them when they first opened. I have been a regular customer since then, just love the mighty Sando. This past Thursday, 4/4/24, I gained a new level of respect and appreciation for this restaurant. On that day, I had a small issue with my order that I felt the manager should know about (substituted fries, instead of waffle fries I received crinkle fries). Not a big deal, but I felt he should know. So, I messaged him and to my surprise, he insisted that I receive a replacement meal on him!! That was greatly appreciated and totally unnecessary! He went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of!! I love supporting local businesses and this one is at the top of my list for chicken greatness❤️ My support and recommendation will continue ❤️ Thank you so much!!

Love the environment with its modern order system and amazing murals inside. Big garage door can be opened on a hot day for a breeze. Beware the spice level on the chicken sandwich. Seriously, I love spicy food and it's really hard to get me to back down from a spice challenge. The flavor was great but on the Hot it's truly too hot and there's another level up from that. I was sweating the whole time and it was even worse coming out of the other end later. If you like really hot stuff I recommend the medium. If you don't usually eat spicy food don't even get the medium go down a spice level. Really great taste tho. The waffle fries were good but the fried okra were under done.

Nice place great food. Plenty of flavor! Lots of heat options. The only thing I do not care for the cole slaw. It just wasn't my favorite. I like mine with Mayo this was just sweet vinegar flavor. But the chicken was very goodVegetarian options: Cole slaw and ice cream sandwich
Hangry Joe's is a wonderful addition to the Burg. Unique and well developed business plan. Great location. Not my particular taste cause I like hot and sweet but it's a welcome additional restaurant.

Tonight called to order the 6 pack sandwich tray. 3 Mild 3 Medium flavor. Slaw, Pickle and Hangry Sauce on the side for Saturday pick up. Looking forward to this for my husband's birthday.
We have been to Hangry Joes several times. Today however, my sandwich wasn't as good. The chicken was dry and tasted like the cooking oil needed to be changed. They gave us the sauce for our waffle fries the other times but not this time. Just not a good experience.

When I picked up my food only 1 of the 2 cashiers was friendly. The other had a snippy attitude and you could tell she just didn't want to be there. There really isn't a lot of room to maneuver so you're kinda bumping into people and shimmying around. As far as the food goes I'd say it was a major letdown. The "meals" don't come with a drink, just fries. I will say the okra is fantastic! It was seasoned and fried to perfection! The waffle fries, however, were completely underwhelming. The shakes are way overpriced to be just basic/bland flavors. Also, I have NO idea what they serve as "mac & cheese." It was essentially cheesy noodle soup! I'd like to say the chicken sandwich was good but it wasn't. It had potential but I ordered it with hot sauce and there was only sauce on about 1/3 of the chicken patty. The rest was just dry. If it's a SAUCED sandwich it should come SAUCED. The pickles were nice and thick so I did enjoy those. To be perfectly honest, most of my meal went in the trash. I only ate my okra, drank my shake, had about 4 waffle fries, 1 bite of mac, and 2 bites of my sandwich. I would only go back for okra and funnel cake fries. I feel like I wasted $20+.Parking: Big lot because it's shared with other businesses.
