Cheesesteaks were good but not quite as memorable as one in Philly would be. For the area this spot is still worth a try when you are missing hoagies and steaks. Portions were adequate but not huge. A fair value for price and will satisfy your craving!

Calling what I ate a Philly cheesesteak is a insult to Philadelphians everywhere. I've tasted cheesesteaks in GA better than these. It's missing something, just not quite sure what.

Hands down, the best Philly cheese steak in Lynchburg and beyond! The staff were friendly and the food was Outstanding! My wife and I have been searching for a cheese steak sandwich that compares to her favorite sub shop in Maryland, and Taste of Philly does not disappoint. We will definitely be returning for more.

This place was AMAZING. From the service to the food, it was all a good time. This little hole in the wall really outdid themselves better than any fancy restaurant. Will, Chris, and Thomas treated us like old friends with their open arms and welcoming smile. The food was so delicious especially for my family who eat Halal. It was perfect. I'm so happy this place exist and a big thank you to the guys for being so awesome!

Phenomenal service. Decent prices. The cheesesteaks tasted like home, right down to the roll. The roll makes the cheesesteak. The story behind this restaurant is touching. Don't get me started on the water ice! A must visit place for friendly service and amazing food!

Stopped by to grab some me steaks for me and my wife who is a traveling nurse working at Lynchburg general. Being that I was born and raised in south Philly it was my duty to stop and try a cheesesteak. Got the 12 inch with cheese and onion. Steak was super tasty and had enough meat to fill 2 rolls. The owner even gave me some cherry peppers because without the cherry peppers it's not a Philly cheesesteak. The wife ate half of hers when she finished work and when I asked her if she would eat one there again she didn't even hesitate and said yes. She was a few more weeks left on her contract so we will be back. Great owner and family working there. Go Birds!!!!

We have always loved taste of Philly. They are just the best around but we haven’t had it in at least a year. Tonight we had 3 sick kids and I just didn’t feel like cooking. After feeding the kids the adults decided to order taste of Philly. It was as good as we remember if not better AND they have delivery which means it definitely will NOT be another year! Also service and delivery was amazing. Phillys were so hot it was like we just walked in and ordered them!

It's a pop and sons eatery with authentic Philly style subs. I had the chicken Philly cheese sub with onions and mayo and it was out of this world delicious! It's ran by a Philadelphia Native and his son's. It was very quaint and old school with nothing fancy but the food. They were very crowded and the owner was very nice and waited on us with a gorgeous smile. I would recommend this lil hole in the wall to anyone looking for a great Philly sub and great atmosphere... You won't be disappointed!!! BTW... They also sell burgers and fries.

10 or more years ago I came here with my uncle and we got some Philly cheesesteaks and I remeber it being delicious. That was 10 years ago I moved to Kansas got married had kids and moved back here to Virginia so my tastes have changed. All that said, 10 years later it’s still if not more delicious, filling, amazing service, friendly and worth going to again and again. Taste of Philly thank you for an amazing meal. Highly recommend.
