We have been in search of a bakery in the area that bakes unique homemade items and we finally found one! We had a small sampling of some things for our first test run. A snickerdoodle cookie and orange cranberry cookie, six macaroons, two of coconut cream, two of cotton candy and two of orange Creamsicle and a Hermann Bundt Cake. I hope I'm spelling that correctly. Ms. joy herself served me, we chatted about the shop and how she's been on not one but two TV programs. I got excited as soon as I heard this. Usually TV programs don't invest time unless the business is worth it so again I rushed home to try the sweet treats. My total was about $31.The shop was very cute and only had a small selection of things, which I don't mind as long as there good and they delivered. Both cookies with a great size, soft and so tasty. Great favors, I especially like the Orange cranberry, it was so flavorful. All three macaroons had great texture and flavor, the cotton candy was slightly hard but macaroons are hard to keep fresh so I'll give it a pass because the cream was exceptional. The Bundt cake was the last to try, and it had nuts and harvest tones, it was moist and she took the time to describe how she produces a rum butter sauce that she dips them in....it reminded me of Jamaican rum cake but sweeter. We will def be back to try more things!

I was told by my daughter that we should try the cinnamon buns. Oh, my goodness! They are to die for! They are huge, and I was afraid they would be too much dough, but the whole bun is delicious, AND they stay really soft and fresh for several days. Our granddaughter has started college nearby, and we will be going to this bakery every time we are in Lynchburg to see her. The owner is a delightful person and makes you feel right at home. We stayed a good while just talking to her. You can not go wrong if you buy one of her delicious desserts.

In town from Texas. I envy all y’all folks in Virginia as Mrs joy hasn’t made it to Texas yet. But looking at her scrumptious buns I think she should get there soon as everything is bigger in Texas!I bought cookies and they were amazing as the joy we received from her and her team!

We stopped one evening as she was closing and she was kind enough to let us in…her Scottish shortbread cookies are the best I have EVER had!! Her goodies are made with love and worth every penny and then some. It is a MUST STOP if you are in the area.

Customer service was everything! I found Mrs. Joy on tiktok and I drove 2.5 hours to get one of her treats. The cinnamon roll was HUGE. It was so airy and fluffy and topped with a not overly sweet icing. We had Cinn City while we visited as well, but Mrs. Joy won my heart. She was personable and even treated my girls to stickers and rings. The shop is kid friendly and clean. We cannot wait to visit again!

The baked goods that we purchased were delicious. We had an apple fritter and a cinnamon roll. But I really hate to say this, but it was super expensive, we paid $16. Which I thought was a bit much.
