Sorry for the low score on the Atmosphere, however it was only the waitress, the lady in the kitchen, the wife, and I this evening. There was no atmosphere. The food was top-notch, though. As a former drinker & diabetic, I was happy with the NA selection. We will be back!!

It had been several years since I had been in. Decided since it was under new management to give it a try. Very good …. Just like the old original Yellow Sub !

I went to Yellow Sub a couple times under its previous owners, and I've gone quite a few times now since it reopened.First of all, the service is much faster than it was before. I used to have to gobble my sub down in the last 10 minutes of my lunch break because it would take so long for the food to come out. But since the new owners took over, things have gotten much faster. The quality of the subs is really good, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg (even at 2023 prices). My lunch bill was $15 for a sub, fries, and a drink. I like it enough that I've made it a point to start going every couple weeks or so for lunch. They have beer there as well, and periodically host events like cornhole and trivia.Be aware: the restaurant is nestled back from the road a bit, so pay close attention to where the entrance is when you go. Turn in right next to the Dunkin' parking lot and you'll find it.

I called in an order for a couple of subs to go. The lady was pleasant and efficient on the phone.Had a bit of an issue finding the joint but nothing we can't handle.Walked in and it looked clean and inviting. If we weren't on our way somewhere I would have been very content there. Was greeted by a friendly woman, again very efficient. Got my subs and was gone in no time.I am a bit of sandwich snob. This was a very good sub. The bread wasn't dry, the veggies weren't sloppy, the meat had good flavor and the mayo was the perfect amount. If I could've got cabbage instead of lettuce this sub would've been one of the best I've had (outside of Vermont). And the price was a bargain.

I've tried going several times the last few months and they're always closed. As others have mentioned, the parking lot is awful. When they used to be open Saturday, there were not many customers., service was slow but the employees were nice. It used to be the best place for a sandwich in Lynchburg. I think they gave up and they aren't maintaining the exterior

Used to occasionally go and it was decent. After it changed ownership the sandwiches changed. Content is near zero. I am pretty conservative on my sandwich making and even I put more on than these. What kind of Italian sub has two slices of each meat on a footlong? Prices only went up from before too. More for less. I've only tried a time or two since the change, but it really discouraged me.

I had contacted The Yellow Submarine before my visit because i live over an hour away. I asked if they had a certain beverage for retail sale; they assured me they did and they would hold them for me. They did that. When we got there, the place was completely empty at 7 at dinner time. I was told the beverages i was planning on taking home with me were $6 each. They sell for $15.99 for a four pack retail. I said, ok I’d take them anyway. They’re not available where i live. But when i was brought my bill; they were on there for $7.50 each. No explaining, just that they told me wrong. No apology. Nothing. So i left with a four pack i paid double than the retail. I also tipped not only on my dinner, but the beverages i overpaid for anyway. The food was good. Fries were awesome. But what a waste of 2 1/2 hours.

I have been going to this place for 20+ years. I will not go back. I stopped to order some subs today and ended up leaving before I ordered. The boy at the register was rude and i waited for more than 5 minutes before he spoke to me. There were no customers in the building. I try to support local businesses...but this one has went downhill. Maybe I'm not the only one since there was no one there at lunch time. It's a shame to stop going somewhere I frequented for so long, but I made that decision today.

Excellent food. Very friendly staff. They do paint parties from time to time, got to paint too!

Had the Veggie and it was delicious. I had not been here in years and years. Much roomier than I remember.
