New and happening place in Marshall VA located on Main Street. I like the cozy feel of small town and food is to die for. First time there I sat at the bar and delighted on a Devils Backbone and Salmon- moist, not overcooked, seasoned, and filling. Second time a friend and I waited in the parking lot until it opened at 11. We were not disappointed! Clam chowder reminded me of Chesapeake Bay Seafood House! Clams were not chewy, base tasted like a touch of New England on the shore. Amazing! Then the third time, we had the NY strip steak - prepared to perfection!! The flavor and so tender that you could cut it with a fork. Wings were marinated with the flavor instead of cooked with sauce poured over it. Chef is absolutely amazing. Drinks are cold, food is prepared perfectly and served hot. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. Staff is very personable and friendly. The owner walked around and introduced himself. Very down to earth people! It’s a must visit for yourself!Parking: Parking in the front, sides, and back of the restaurant. They are lined spaces so no chaos. You can also park on Main Street.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcomed. The restaurant has booths and high chairs for the little ones to sit in. Music is fantastic and the staff is very friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: When dining a gentleman wheeled in and was able to comfortably sit at a table while his friend set in the booth.

I was shocked. Now don't get me wrong, the food tasted good, and the others in my party had a decent meal for the price. But i paid $18 for the chicken tender plate that had such small portions, i could have eaten 2x that amount (and I am not a big eater) I felt that it was way way wayyyy over priced. I saw the chicken picatta and that was just a bit more, but worth the price. I know the food cost algorithm and this was more of a $9 plate (and you would still make profit) never again.

Excellent Food. Good service. Was passing through Marshall and stopped in. As good a meal or better than restaurants that are twice the price. The Brussel Sprout Salad is a new favorite. The chicken and seafood pasta was well prepared and flavorful. The place loaded up with locals while we were there. Just a nice surprise.

I don't feel like this amount of food was worth $16. I made my own french fries plenty of times and I'm pretty sure that's not even entire $1 potato worth of fries. It taste fine, but nothing taste too great when you feel ripped off. I really like their pasta dish with seafood, but even that is fairly overpriced. This isn't a field and main style food and you're definitely not getting an amount that feels worth it. We've gotten take out quite a few times. I'm here, but unfortunately, I think this time will be our last. The portions are getting smaller and smaller.

My turkey burger and fries was suppose to be a house favorite. Unfortunately the whole plate came out barely warm, the bun was not fresh and tasted hard and dry. The turkey burger didn't have an independent taste. The fries were dense with mediocre flavor, but might have been better if hot. The staff was nice and accommodating but I didnt send my food back, feeling that there was obviously a quality disconnect if the the chef sent it out that way in the first place. Why bother? I read now a lot online how restaurants are suffering and need to raise prices. I wonder if any of them consider raising the quality might Also afffect their bottom line?

What a welcome addition to our area. I've been several times. The food is consistently delicious. I love their extensive salad choices. My husband loves their pastas. My daughter enjoys their burgers. There's something for everyone.

Traveling home from DC and found this hidden jewel. Stopped in around 730pm and only 1 table was open (usually a good sign). I wasn't sitting long before a sweet young lady came to take my order. I got the Brussel Sprout Salad, something I'd never had before and it was DELICIOUS! The root beer was very good and tasted like root beer, not watered down. I was gonna try a piece of cheesecake but they sold their last piece just before I ordered so I opted for the carrot cake. I didn't expect it to come out warm but it did and it too was soo good. Service was excellent, food was great, prices were definitely fair, and it was a cute little establishment. I will definitely eat here again whenever I'm in the area! The only thing I would mention needing improvement is the restroom - it was clean but definitely needs some work. Looks disheveled & toilet seat was broken and sliding around.

We popped in for a quick dinner on our way home from Fredricksburg. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant for how old it is! The staff was extremely friendly and attentive and the food was amazing. We had the blackened Mahi Mahi and the chicken piccata. We really enjoyed the whole experience. We will definitely be sure to stop if we are ever anywhere close to it again!
