I love this place! I come here to get a bite and get some school work done. The breakfast is amazing and so is the Matcha! It’s definitely a must try in Martinsville Va!

Found this on our way to Roanoke. The atmosphere was amazing. Hit this place on a Friday night, had a live guitarist who was great, played a great variety. Ordered the campfire latte, it was delicious and the salads. I had the harvest bowl and my husband had the WAC salad. Both were fresh, delicious and amazing. If you can find a reason to come here, DO IT! so worth the small detour!!

I am in absolute love with this place, but also the incredible people who work at and own the Ground Floor, to make it such a comfortable and welcoming environment for everyone. This place embodies their “come as you are motto” perfectly. ❤️ the best place in Martinsville!!Kid-friendliness: My kids love coming here with me!

I have been an avid supporter of the Ground Floor since day one. We desperately have needed a safe space to grab a drink, chat over coffee, have meetings, catch up with old friends, or meet with your book club. The staff at the ground floor is truly the very best. Morgan and Josh have trained the staff so well, and I’m grateful for their friendship we’ve formed over coffee and business with the staff. They always remember my orders, my allergies, and truly try to make sure you have the best experience. The coffee is phenomenal. I also love that they homemake a few of their syrups (pumpkin spice and rosemary). The attention to detail is unlike anything in this area and much more mirrors a coffee shop in a larger metropolitan area.Come as you are has truly been the best thing about the ground floor. I can come in dressed up, looking like a bum, in a frazzled rush, in a bad mood, and the staff is consistent every time. Such a welcoming space to hang out or decompress after work. I have so enjoyed getting to have a spot to meet friends for apps and drinks that isn’t a sketchy bar.But let’s get to the food guys. The Thai bowl, the ham jam sandwich, even the kids grilled cheese! And we definitely can’t forget to mention the kitchen staff - they always greet me. Make sure myFood is perfect. And the few times they have ran out of ingredients are really good about checking for substitutions that you like. Make sure to try the bruschetta, the whipped feta spread is one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had. Chefs kiss.Cocktails! Coffee! Wine? Probiotic fiber soda to make you, ahemm, regular ?? I really don’t know anywhere else around here that is this many options. Such a culturally diverse welcoming space all the way around.Forever and always a ground floor lover, can’t wait to see the next menu items they drop!Parking: Street parking, and a huge parking lot available.Kid-friendliness: The owners and a lot of staff are parents to small kids - I have always felt super welcome having my nieces and nephews with me there.❤️

I could never have enough positive words in my vocabulary to express how thankful I am for The Ground Floor! They have to be the most accommodating, accepting, and loving bunch I have witnessed in the food service/coffee shop environment. They legitimately got my business and all my clients through the holiday season happy, fed, and caffeinated. They stay so busy but I am so proud of the excellence they continue to consistently give this community even as they’re growing and figuring out every new business venture. They don’t do thing if they can’t do it well. And from food, to drinks, to their merch, they always DO IT WELL!As a local business owner right above their shop, (yes, I have had pretty much everything on the menu) they probably get tired of seeing me in there 24/7 but I have always been treated with the utmost respect and kindness! I believe the relational business model The Ground Floor exhibits should be adopted everywhere and it is 100% why they will continue to be successful. When the leadership knows the importance of being a good steward, it shows in every aspect of the business.LOVE LOVE LOVE THE GROUND FLOORVegetarian options: Even the vegetarian options are AMAZINGDietary restrictions: Very accommodating to any allergies and will help with other restrictionsParking: Huge parking lot right across the street and a few super close street spots

I usually only drink my coffee black, but every time I go to TGF I end up trying one of their seasonal or staple drinks and they never disappoint! I love how welcoming and versatile the space is whether I need to work or just hang out.

I really tried liking this place. It is close to my work in town and their decorum is pleasing to the eye which could have been a wonderful hang-out place for breaks and lunches. But I cannot shrug the fact the few times my friends and I visit, we observe that we are treated differently and they only pleasantly cater to certain racial groups. And I have been hearing plenty of similar experiences which leads me to question how well they hold up to their message of Come As You Are. Their coffee is wonderful but it is obvious that not all are welcome.
