“I love this place, but. I used to buy Gyro meat by the lb. It used to be $11.95 it's now $20 a lb. They also put way less meat on the Gyro's now. Its disappointing considering how far away they are & only decent Gyro place around. I'm sure I'll still go once in a while, but I will definitely not buy 5 lbs of meat to take home to vacuum seal”

“What a hidden gem! We're from out of town and we stopped by here on a whim.First of all, the folks who own the place were super nice!Second, the food!!!!! It was perfection.Crepes? Delicious.Croissants? Fantastic. But how are the Monte Cristo's you ask? To die for! Seriously.I can never find Monte Cristos anywhere it seems like. So to find one here was a godsend. We also took home some baked goods (the muffins and the upside down pineapple cake). Went back for more today.Seriously, give it a try. You won't regret it!”

“We were looking for somewhere to eat with the family and decided to come here due to the reviews. THEY WERE RIGHT! This place was so good with some of the best pizza and garlic knots I’ve ever had. The cheese sticks and salads were also great! We will come back from Knoxville just to eat here again. The owner also came out to thank us for trying them which was a nice touch. Thanks so much!”

“Beautiful park right on the river. The station is iconic, and great for photos after completing the Creeper trail segments between Abingdon-Alvarado Station or Damascus to Alvarado Station.Alvarado Station is the lowest point on the trail, so it will be an uphill ride into Abingdon, but mostly level to Damascus.”

“While planning a long weekend to Virginia, everyone i talked to was adamant that my trip wouldn’t be complete without having a meal at the tavern. We made reservations a few days in advance as recommended. Even on a busy Saturday night, our waitress Carley took excellent care of us. I had the salmon as pictured. My husband had the schnitzel. We also shared “The Inkeeper” cocktail, and the onion soup. Everything was absolutely amazing. I was especially blown away by my entree. We enjoyed the old world atmosphere and the candlelight. The history of this location makes it truly one of a kind.Parking: There is parking a few spots over at the funeral home. There is also street parking.”

“This was an unexpected surprise during our trip to Hungry Mother State Park and a day trip to Saltville. The menu suggested that the food might be fairly commercial, but we were pleasantly surprised that this place had really delicious food clearly made with love! To top it off, the waitress could not have been nicer and they have a great covered patio area too. Highly recommend if you are in the area!”

“My husband and I visited last week from the Atlanta area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Inn. Our dining experience was stellar. The staff was always warm and friendly and greeted us each time we arrived. Our server for breakfasts and a very nice dinner was a sweet, feisty lady named Stacey. She was outstanding. She was very attentive and energetic. I have celiac so I needed safe, gluten free options. She was knowledgeable of their menu and how things were prepared so she could help me make choices. We really enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere… looking forward to visiting again.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free for celiacKid-friendliness: Our 12 year old tried new foods because he said it looked fancy.
