Best shrimp space in the area but this time I went was not my best experience. The girl taking my order was texting while I was standing there waiting to order and there was no soap and the womens bathroom and she brought our food with no cocktail or tarter sauce. I had my toddler with me so it was not an easy trip for me having to get up and tell them things i needed and try to keep my toddler clean after using the rest room. Not the warm welcome like I am used to at this location. I will give them another try but if it is not better then I will just order togo

I’m tired of places calling small sizes large and decent portion sizes to be family size””… this place truly is a southern restaurant in providing accurate portion sizes for an incredible price tbh. Love it don’t change the prices or portion sizes..

Was hungry and stopped in for a shrimp po-boy. I was worried that their portions would be "skrimpy" but you can see from the picture the portion size is generous.

It looks like its been quite a while since anyone posted a review. We had a very good meal with a couple of glitches that kept me from giving them 5 stars. First off the young lady on the counter messed up the bill a bit which was fine, we would be able to work it out. What wasn't cool was her supervisor was super upset at the young lady and was quite curt with her and us. The other thing I didn't like was very loud music on the PA. Now to the food: it was very good. My wife had the fried shrimp and sweet potato fries, I had the catfish with fried okra. Both of us got the smaller "lunch" sized portion and it was more than we good eat...we had to take some home. Unlike so many restaurants that serve room-temperature food our entrees and sides were served hot. I would recommend this place for a casual seafood restaurant.

Went to shrimp shack in mechanicsville today ordered 2lbs of whiting got 1lb and a box of fries didn't get them got home disappointed spending 30 dollars never again bad news fish was too hard what they gave me lost money there never again

Good fresh shrimp and crab Poboys. Bread is not crusty French like traditional but that's difficult away from the coast. Good potato salad and fried okra. Worth the $ for the freshness of the seafood!
We've now been a couple of times. I can't think of a thing that wasn't good.The fried shrimp in the Skrimp basket dinner was lightly breaded and not greasy. You get 10 shrimp with lunch basket and 20 with dinner basket.The macaroni and cheese is really good also.They also will grill anything you want. We got the dinner basket and split it with 10 shrimp grilled and 10 shrimp fried. We weren't disappointed. The grilled shrimp was excellent.My husband got the big cat. It gives you 4 pieces of fried catfish on a bun. Good flavor, not greasy and tartar sauce was good also. He's also tried the chicken sandwich. You get a ginormous piece of chicken on a bun. He really enjoyed it.I took a few pictures but none of the food. We ate it!!! Next time, PROMISE! We dined in and took out!Maybe, they could add a beer battered fish ( haddock )and chips!All in all we definitely will be going back! ALOT!!!

Me and my mother walked in 10 mins to 8 and they said they were closed when people were in there already waiting for food. We weren’t planning on eating in. Just to grab and go. They seem to be dead quite a bit. And with an attitude like that won’t be open too long. The door was not locked and they were still cooking. I normally don’t go anywhere close to closing but in a situation like this I don’t appreciate how it went. If you are closed lock the door.

My coworkers and I decided to come here for lunch. It was not packed when we walked inside, and we were greeted. I ordered the Shrimp and Crabmeat 'Poboy (which turned out to be very delicious. The only thing I did not like was the crabmeat was cold (maybe there should be an option to have it heated or not). One of my coworkers ordered the sampler platter, and the other one ordered the flounder platter. The food came faster than I expected (which is always a plus), and it was reasonably priced. I was full before I finished my plate and so did everyone else. I say that to say: you have healthy portions, lol. Anyway, if you're ever in the area stop in and grab a bite from these guys, youllbe glad you did!!
