“Unique spot offering a taste of what’s good in this world. Got the hava nagila dilla (turkey Reuben) and villa dilla (chicken carbonara), nacho problem, and fresh-pressed lemonade (half sugar). Nachos are faster than dillas — could treat nachos like an app if you are dining in. Dillas had the PERFECT crisp and really thoughtful ingredient combos — felt like a more nutritious, sandwich-like quesadilla. Lemonade took me back to my childhood.“
“We were warmly greeted upon entering, after ordering, when the food was ready and when we left. The food had a lot of flavor and it's a good value. The yucca was fried softer than my preference and the chicharrón was fried harder but I still liked them. I'm glad to have stumbled across this gem.Note: Unless you're going eastbound on Broad Street, pulling into the restaurant takes you on some side streets but it's worth it. There is no direct access to the restaurant westbound.“
“Great little Mexican place in the city of Richmond. We are at GalaxyCon and needed to take a break and grab something to eat, so we went for a short walk and ended up finding Ay Caramba. It wasn't overly busy, so we were able to get seated pretty quickly. We very much enjoyed everything. My wife got a little taco bowl, and I got a couple of tacos with some sweet plantains. First thing the plantains were out of this world! The tacos were very fresh and tasty, and my wife liked her food as well. Thought the salsa was really good. They have a nice little bar area. Not a huge menu, but it seems like what they do have they do very well. They do have a little patio outside with a couple of tables, so if it's a nice day, you can enjoy the sun.“
“Richmond's BBQ scene is rejoicing! Alamo BBQ, a beloved institution that's been dearly missed, reopened this week in Church Hill stronger than ever. The owner's warm welcome reminded everyone why this spot was a favorite. We dove into their Texas Trash, a revelation of chopped brisket, jalapeño Mac n cheese, bbq beans, and cornbread smothered in a finger-licking good sweet and savory BBQ sauce. It was a delightful change for this usually tangy-sauce fan, bringing back childhood BBQ memories. The perfectly refreshing coleslaw and texas caviar perfectly complemented the richness of the Texas Trash. Alamo BBQ's return is a win for Richmond. Don't miss this chance to experience some incredible BBQ!“
“We are long time die hard Torchy’s fans, ever since it was a food truck in Austin 15+ years ago. Before the awesomeness of Torchy’s started spreading across the country. We have enjoyed Torchy’s all over the country. This sadly was our least favorite experience. Every place else you get your sauces on the side, here they put them on the taco which helped them be soggy. And my fried avocado taco did not come w the lettuce it was supposed to have and very little pico. The avocado was soggy. Had this been our first experience with Torchy’s we would not have come back. I asked to have my taco remade with the sauce on the side and with lettuce which they did and told me they have just started putting all the sauces on (which they should tell you when ordering I guess).Anyway, I still love the tacos but this location needs more adherence to the standards I guess.“
“Absolutely fantastic shrimp quesadilla. The freshest of everything. Best of the best to rival. Anything I have ever had up north in the Washington metro area! Fresh green beans, crisp, and snappy. I must have for anyone who loves authentic, delicious, ethnic meals.“
“We love Barrio Taqueria! We stopped in tonight for a bite and drinks before a show at The Altria Theater. It was delightfully busy for a Tuesday late afternoon/ early evening. The service was fantastic, the drinks were perfect, the food was SOOOO tasty, and the atmosphere is what we LOVE about Richmond eateries - unique, fun, slightly industrial and vintage inspired! We highly recommend the nachos with carnitas, the baja tacos, the taco fries, and the carnitas quesadilla. Great happy hour deals!“
“The food is consistently tasty. The customer service isn’t always the best. But, their food makes up for any of the CS issues.Their chicken tastes good. 1/4 or 1/2. Also, the taco salad with chicken is tasty.Their Yucca is a good side. However, the rice and bean combo is very good.Their green salsa is different, but tasty. It has a small kick. It’s good with the chicken. I usually have to ask them to add more containers of salsa. They only give one or two with each order. The yellow sauce is good for the yucca. It’s like a mayo-mustard mix.“
“This review is for their music space. While I have not had food here before, I've had friends tell me it's just ok. I came for their Devil's Night Bash! and had a blast. The bouncer at the front took his job really seriously. He was a bit rude to me and my friends. I'm not sure if this is normal, but it was a cash only event. Thankfully I always have cash on me. For my friends who didn't, there was an ATM near the bathrooms. When you enter, there is a full bar. My friends enjoyed ordering PBRs and mixed drinks. The music space is in a separate section to the right. It feels like a patio space, but indoors (especially with booths in the back). It was pretty small so it was made for an intimate show. I loved the set up they had with movies playing in the background. I'd come back for another show at Bandito's.“
“Our server for tonight Brian, who even remembered us from the last visit which was like maybe 2 months ago is the definition of "above service" excellence! He is always going above and beyond! He is definitely a master at his craft and should be given his own store to manage which I'm sure he probably doesn't want to because management is a TOUGH but anyways. 3 cheers for him!“
“This Moe's location had closed for a while during the pandemic, and reopened not long ago. Last night I got the Mo's bowl, with chicken and loaded with toppings. Have leftovers for lunch today. I had forgotten how great that food is! Definitely will return.“
