Staff was lovely and the service was excellent. We enjoyed our meal. The shower was a bit wonky but otherwise the rooms were lovely too.

Always a wonderful experience! Jeremy was our server and I indulged in the wine pairing with dinner - he did a great job presenting each wine with the different courses. The Valentine's 5 course menu was fantastic - we especially loved the lobster bisque and ordered the mini lobster roll to start - delicious!

We have been coming to the Red Fox since 2017 for special occasions & always had a wonderful experience so we decided to return again recently to celebrate our anniversary. We did the Valentine food pairing as it coincided with our anniversary date. Unfortunately at $165 per person it did not live up to our expectations. The portions were incredibly small for the price we paid & was not the Red Fox we remember. Food tasted great, service was good, but just not worth the amount. We could've went somewhere else & got more for our money. Not sure we will ever return again.

My wife and I went to Red Fox for Valentine's day. It was a great experience overall. The food was great, especially the Venison and the Lobster Mac and Cheese. The service was great as well. Our server Jason was very amiable while still being professional.
Excellent service. Not as intimate as we imagined it to be. Desert was disappointing. Cheesecake was bland and texture was rubber. Entrees were excellent. Noisy, and even though staying at the inn, instructed to enter the restaurant from walking around building outside( it was snowing), as not to interrupt the private event going on. Which is In Poor taste, and took away from the night. We are seniors and the walk was slippery and uneven, for the cost of the night, again disappointing.

The Red Fox in was outstanding. We have lived near here for many years and have never dined here. We will be back for sure! The food was absolutely outstanding and so was the service. We dined during their Valentine dinner. It was not cheap but we were not disappointed. The experience was wonderful and they treated us like royalty. Highly recommended.

Wonderful historic location which makes it a nice dining event. Having said that $450 for dinner with no drinks on Valentines day was more "looks" than meal. The food was excellent with very small portions. Would not return for a fixed menu again

Excellent varied choices to select from for all four courses. The first two course portions were perfect in size so that a person was able to eat the large entree course. Various meats and seafood to choose from and each prepared with its own unique flavor profile.

The Red Fox Inn is cozy, inviting and great for weekend getaways or special occasions. my only real disappointment was we went to their small bar and was told last call was 8:45!? This was on a Saturday night and quite a few were both turned off and turned away.
This a charming spot in Middleburg, Virginia. The service was impeccable; however on the four course menu I can say only two of my four courses were really suburb. The selections within courses was rather limited. I would like to see them simply open the menu up allow freedom to choose what you'd like regardless of course. The restaurant is also very quiet so I felt as though I needed to whisper in order to not be overheard by the next table. This made the ambiance feel a bit stuffy. Overall, a great experience and one worth trying but there is definitely room for a revival of sorts.

Absolutely impeccable and friendly service at the inn, tavern, and pub. We were greeted warmly and always treated as if we were expected. The room was comfortable and allowed us a relaxing weekend to celebrate a birthday an upcoming arrival of our second baby. The food was fantastic. The four course was beautifully presented, piping hot from the kitchen, perfectly portioned, and delicious. The pub fare was no less perfect. We enjoyed the morning breakfast boxes delivered directly to our room so we could stay cozy all morning. The two of us visited for my husbands birthday. We had the 4 course game and seafood dinner tasting with champagne. It was just perfect. I highly recommend to take your significant other here if you want a very romantic evening that lets them know how much you love them. The service was elegant and professional. The food was delicious! And the setting was private and romantic.

Definitely ask your server to tell you the history of the tavern when you're there. In addition to many other historical figures George Washington are there.
