Good place to have a drink, but I'm not a fan of the food. Pretty lively crowd for a week day.

Good Times and Great Food! You will not be disappointed. Checkout the St Patricks Day celebrations and especially the Wake.... And while you're add it - the steamed shrimp are perfect. The staff and bartenders are always the best!

We were traveling through Midlothian and stopped at O'Tooles Restaurant, an Irish pub. The restaurant looked like a typical “Irish” pub. My husband and I both order their specialty Fish & chips with coleslaw and fries. The outside of fish was so hard you had to use a steak knife and saw through it. It was supposedly haddock but it was not the thick flaky fish I know as haddock. The coleslaw was mushy so after tasting it we left it alone. I would definitely not be back to this restaurant or chain. We were very disappointed.

Returned last night for dinner with my neighbor who had never been to Midlothian O'tooles. After a good number of trips myself, I was excited to see what he thought. We sat a the bar. We were greeted immediately and ordered drafts. Service was good. Bartenders attentive. That was the only highlight of the night. RThe quality of our food choices turned out to be very poor. He chose a BBQ sandwich and me, the fish and chips. He said the BBQ was dry and lacked taste. My fish was covered in a thick over-fried breading. The breading drowned out any taste of the fish. The steak fries on both of our platters were under-cooked and soggy. Oh, the Bartender didn't remember my salad until after the dinners arrived. The salad contained two large chunks from the heart of the lettuce, hard and unappealing. There were enough croutons for three salads. This trip was out of the norm for me. The majority have been great, Service and food. But I do wonder about the fish as another nearby diner appeared to have the same experience.

Lazy and unapologetic staffI ordered take out and when I arrived home, the sauces for my order were missing. I went back to the restaurant and was reluctantly greeted my a member of the wait staff. I explained that I was missing sauces for two of the items on my order. That person got me the sauces for one of my items. When I asked for the rest, they rolled their eyes at me as they went to get them. I was treated like an inconvenience.

Hard to mess up a steak and cheese but after 3 bites I was done, looked like it went into the microwave tomatoes and all then bring out week old ribs with bbq sauce poured on top.Food quality is terrible.waitsaff was

My wife and I are Irish from immigrants 3 and 4 generations ago so we were not impartial to the atmosphere and decor. But dinner this evening was a home run as well. Great, fast service, a great rib-eye steak I had, and the prices were awesome too.

Some of the WORST service in all of Richmond!!!!! Both bartenders are EXTREMELY rude & have a blatant terrible attitude. I ordered a burger cooked medium rare & it came out BURNT! The bartender then gave us an attitude because we sent it back & the next one came out still well done. If I ever come back, which I likely won’t, I will make sure to sit at a table and not the bar so I don’t have to deal with the two bartenders that are just plain nasty.

I went to try their "signature" fish 'n chips. I did not have high expectations but was hoping for someplace close to home that had decent fish. The meal starts with salad. Salad was fine, nothing special, would have been nice if there was a swap option for soup on a cold, rainy day. If there was, was not offered. The fish came with fries that seemed like they had been sitting for a while before being served. The fish was a large but very thin piece which was not crunchy. Tasted like it had come out of a bag frozen, been fried the night before, sat in the fridge all night and then had been rewarmed in the fryer. Not great. The fish was accompanied by one tiny tub of tartar sauce which was brown and tasted like it was brown. Do not intend to return.
