The Westlake Kroger has fallen victim to the Kroger corporate model. Selection is beginning to go downhill. But most important, they are eliminating customer service. On Friday night they had one checkout lane open and 10 self-service checkouts open. However, when you have more than 10 items and one is beer, self-checkout is damn inconvenient. The location is convenient while running errands. When an employee sees an elderly employee, they assist them into the store.The produce section has a decent selection. The bakery had lots of choices. The ice cream cakes were nice. We were having a celebration. There were nice drinking glasses with "Smith Mt. Lake" printed on them. The employees were helpful when I wasn't sure where an item was located.
