Such a cute place. It is very popular so make sure you get there early or ready to wait but either way it's worth the wait. We had a great time and loved the waitress, she made the experience very fun and very helpful in our food choices. In few words we just left the place this morning and we are already planning to go back. Go visit and try it yourselves and don't forget to let your friends know as well.

Waitresses were nice and prompt.I ordered omelet with ham cheese and sausage and the ham was ice cold. My wife ordered steak and eggsand couldn't cut eggs with butter knife. I would not recommend. I don't mind paying up for good food but here lies the problem!

Great atmosphere & the staff are very professional and friendly , the food is very, very good , they have a great cooking chef , the restaurant is very clean inside and I enjoyed my breakfast when I visit , there always pack , I highly recommend Byrd's Restaurant , go and enjoy a delicious hot meal in a wonderful atmosphere ....

Byrd’s was amazing! Well worth the wait. The Banana Nut French toast and the sweet potato fries were really good! Can’t wait to go back. The service was really good.
It was my first time here and I would visit more often if I lived in Newport News. The interior is cozy and doesn’t feel overwhelming even if there’s a large crowd. Accommodating and friendly staff. Recommended dish: chocolate chip pancakes; recommended drink: Navy Dave

Absolutely love this place! This is my go to breakfast place. The atmosphere, employees, and overall the whole experience is always amazing.
Great place to eat. Always a wait but well worth it. All the wait staff is courteous and attentive...no complaints..

Went to restaurant at 1:20 PM with a closing time of 200 PM and was refused a seat by the hostess and another person that could have been a waitress or manager. There was no waiting list, they do not take reservations, and open tables were available. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service and will not return.

Had a birthday brunch today! 10 of us enjoyed a DELICIOUS ensemble of banana bread french toast, hash & eggs, chicken salad, chicken & waffles and brunch burgers?. The food was fresh and so tasty! Their sweet potato fries are to die for!! OMG! We also had a flight of Mimosas ( my fave…pineapple) & some spicy Bloody Marys! YES!!!! The service was friendly and very attentive. Overall, very much worth the wait.
Had the poutine.....delicious. brunch burger perfectly seasoned and delicious....wife had breakfast sandwhich and grits also.....delicious. the mimosa not too boozy that it overpowered the juice......goooood af. All in all great place for brunch and would go again.
