***Best place in the food court***China Max has always been a staple of my Patrick Henry Mall visits. The chicken is so tender and juicy, and perfectly marinated. Throw some sauce on top of the rice and it's so delicious. It's the best place in the Food Court.

The hubs and I were browsing in gamestop, and realized there was nothing defrosted for dinner. The smells of the food court drifted to our noses since it was located right across. We noticed one place that wasn't bustling with customers. Not that it was a bad sign, but lines almost discourage us when it's more then ten deep. The two employees offered us samples of the bourbon bbq chicken. We graciously ate the tasty pieces. No need to go elsewhere since we found our dinner takeout. They were running a special of the bbq bourbon chicken and two sides for around $8! That is unheard of especially with inflation these days. Hopefully, they are still able to make a profit and stay in business. I opted for the veggies and noodles with the special, while my better half ordered the orange chicken, noodles, and veggies. A side of egg rolls were added to the order. We paid, tipped, and carried our food back to the car to devour at home. The bbq bourbon chicken was very tasty. It was smoky, tender and flavorful with edges of charred bbq. The noodles were limp and very greasy. The veggies was a good touch for some balance against the noodles. Orange chicken was standard and not bad. We have to remember everyone makes it different lol. Egg rolls were stuffed with veggies so a good option for vegetarians. We would come here before Panda Express to support small local businesses. They may not have a lot of other meat options, but that doesn't mean it should be dismissed. Sometimes less is more. The employees were very kind, and made our ordering process very pleasant. Check them out and we will be back!

The teriyaki chicken is soooo good.

Had bourbon chicken but it seemed like it was missing something. There were a couple of burnt pieces of chicken.

Idk where all the negative reviews come from but i’ve been eating here for years and the food is always good. The bourbon chicken and teriyaki is the way to go. Ask for extra bourbon sauce to top it off.

Will never get food from this place again! The older guy kept asking me if I want sample, I said no twice, he kept asking. I said no again, I don't eat meat. All I wanted were some cheese wontons. got up to the register asked for a slushy that they were advertising. The slushy was more like a smoothie and very thick. Only had small thin straws. When he handed me my wontons, I asked for sweet and sour sauce as there was no sauce with the wontons. He pointed over to the counter where there was duck sauce. I said no, sweet and sour, he kept pointing to duck sauce, which is not the same! I then said no, the red sauce...sweet and sour! He threw his hands up and practically yelled at me and said, "we don't have sweet and sour"! What kind of chinese place does not have sweet and sour sauce?! Never again!

Bourbon chicken had good flavor, but it was really oily, and more than half of the plate was cabbage and other vegetables.
