Our lovely hostess server Katie was excellent with knowledge of the menu and dishes. The Chef and his staff provided meals beyond my expectation. Every bite was to die for.I will be back.

Had a corporate dinner there and I was so excited, due to the reviews and the menu. Of course our menu was limited to certain choices, which is perfectly acceptable. The problem came to when we started ordering we were told that if a steak was our protein choice our only choice was to have it medium. I asked the staff member assigned to us if they could possibly make my steak rate? Absolutely not, she said. They causes was too many problems in the kitchen. Hmmmm…this is a very nice and expensive restaurant and I’d assume pleasing your patrons would be your greatest concern. I didn’t think I was askH for the moon. There was about 20 of us there not 100. I think I’m all there was around 10 people that ordered the steak and most were disappointed. Also, the food lacked flavor or seasoning. It you are not putting a condiment on the table you should make sure the food is properly seasoned. Furthermore, a couple of weeks ago we had a similar corporate dinner at Schlesinger and the food was AMAZING!!! Cooked perfectly to order and seasoned appropriately. If you’re having a corporate dinner think about going there instead.

3.9⭐️My husband wined and dined me!We decided on fin last minute, and when we got there we also decided on the 7 course tasting menu last minute. I am not a fancy person at all, but this was nice! One thing I’m not used to, the waiter giving new utensils for every plate! I was like “oooo this is fancy! The service was awesome! I cannot say anything bad about the service. The food… was either hit or miss, let me explain.Course 1- Tuna Tartare, it was so good! The sriracha ice cream was great with it.Course 2- Shrimp and grits, it’s was … pretty sweet. I didn’t think it was bad, I enjoyed it. My husband said it tasted like pancake syrup ? so he wasn’t a big fan.Course 3- Crab cake, damn was this good! If I was to go back, I would order the crab cakes.Course 4- Grilled Octopus, no ??‍♀️ not a fan. It was pretty chewy, and the black beans it came with were so hard, we were confused on if they cooked the beans or not. I just moved them to the side and didn’t eat them.Course 5- Scallops, not bad. I’m not a big fan of scallops, but both tasting menus had them so I couldn’t avoid them.Course 6- Australian Wagyu Ribeye Cap, this was very good! The steaks was cooked perfectly, just yes.Course 7- Chocolate cake with cherry ice cream, SUCH A GOOD ENDING! I’ve never had cherry ice cream but I loved it!Overall I’m glad we got the 7 course, and not the 5. The food wasn’t bad, but I now I feel like I’ve tried everything I want to try from here, and it’s a more expensive meal. So did I enjoy my meal? Yes, me and my husband had a great date night. We didn’t enjoy each course, but the experience was a good one. Would we go back? Probably not. But I would recommend the restaurant if you’re in the area.

Food was delicious, but portions seemed a bit small to me. Service was on point.

I had the pleasure of dining at Fins earlier this month on a lunch trip to Newport News, VA. It was my first time in this area, and I was very pleased with the inside and outside atmosphere of the restaurant. The colors, utensils, food, service, etc. were all top notch. Our server, Kameron, was attentive and brought out delicious flavors for us to try. As a long-time vegetarian, I broke my diet for this restaurant and do NOT regret it. I highly recommend the firecracker shrimp starter and their seafood pasta. The kitchen offered to make the dishes vegetarian for me, which was very nice given it is an upscale seafood restaurant. I suggest everyone tries Fins! Five stars.

Sat by restrooms in otherwise empty restaurant. The steak for the price was not Cooper’s hawk good rather under-seasoned and not great. I eat steak a lot, or a lot of good steak rather. This was high priced steak was all nothing great. Everything else tasted good. Spent over $350 for this meal for 4 people and one bottle of wine.

My partner and I went for her birthday dinner on Saturday and everything was fantastic. We arrived a bit early and had a drink at the bar until our table was ready. The bartender was efficient, courteous, and made wonderful drinks. When our table was ready, our server Brittany helped us pick a wine that based on the flavor profile we were looking for(she was very knowledgeable). She had great food recommendations and was so wonderful. Chef Nick and his crew were amazing. The food was gorgeous and so delicious. I ordered the New York strip and my partner ordered the scallops with crabmeat add on. Everything was perfect. 10/10 would recommend.

The service was good , very well knowledgeable of the menu , however had a great experience for the food, I think the price of wines was way over the top for what it was. Upscale place … sure,.. I’ve had just as good of meals though for half the price for

We indicated that we were coming in for an anniversary occasion, and when we arrived, we were greeted immediately. Brittani came to the table with rose petals, and two glasses of champagne, which set the mood for the evening right off the bat. She was very attentive and made our 45th anniversary very special.

Great night celebrating our friends anniversary! Our server was very friendly and attentive! For our entrees we had two of the scallops, crab cake and a filet with a crab cake entree. All were cooked perfectly and seasoned well! Then crème brûlée, bread pudding and a chocolate heart dessert. Overall everything was delicious and we can't wait to go back!

Eating here was not a pleasant experience. The Google reviews sounded good, so I took a friend visiting from out of town. I ordered scallops (there were only 3) and while they were cooked perfectly, the brownish sauce placed on top had a burnt taste. I couldn't tell what the sauce was made of, but it wasn't good. My friend ordered the fish sandwich and didn't like her dish either. Additionally, the table cloth and table decoration had evidence of a red sauce splatter. This restaurant reads upscale on the site, but that's not how it showed when I visited. Two stars for the service.
