Jenna was absolutely awesome behind the bar. She was charismatic, and we conversed plenty. Hooked us up with some nice drinks made fresh. Try their castaway cocktail if you like a drink in the hot weather. Plus. The food was excellent.

This was a good experience. The atmosphere was good but not great. The service was good, but we noticed one of the cleaning employees was just standing by our table watching us which made us feel a bit uncomfortable. The food was splendid although the bread took me back when it first arrived as I’ve never seen a dark loaf of bread?thought it was chocolate bread ?It was delicious though.

We enjoyed our visit to the Newport News VA location of The Outback Steakhouse. To be honest, we didn't think we would ever visit another outback after our last few visits at the Hampton location years ago. Our experience went from bad to terrible. This visit could not have been much better than it was. The server was nice and efficient. She made a suggestion for our Margaritas, and they were delicious. We don't drink often, so it was a pleasant experience to have someone make a suggestion and enjoy that the bartender executed the drink perfectly. The blooming onion and the coconut shrimp tasted over cooked. Honestly, it could have been due to grease that needed to be changed. The flavor of the shrimp or onion couldn't be enjoyed over the overused grease taste. The salad was fresh and full. The dressing tasted homemade. The steak was cooked perfectly to temperature. The mashed potatoes were homemade tasting with potato skins. My husband said the baked potato was salty but tasty. It was steaming hot! We had a three cpurse meal for secenteen bucks. It came with a choice of salad, choice of entree, and slice of NY cheesesteak. The cheesecake was ok. One had chocolate topping and one raspberry sauce topping. The meal was more than filling. We had leftovers and couldn't eat the dessert until later. We were seated promptly and greeted warmly upon entrance. We sat just near the front door. We had a few rude people waiting to be seated who propped themselves against our booth. They were leaning on it, against it, looking at us and over our food. If we ever go back, I'll make sure not to be seated at that table.Parking: There is a large parking lot with an overflow parking area that provides plenty of spaces. There's also a mall across the street that provides additional parking.Kid-friendliness: It isn't a fun environment for small children. There's a lot of business and commotion. There is a children's menu. There are no healthy options. Most food is fried.
Gross looking food!!?? wings were black from the use of old oil baked potato dried completely out and waited for 30 mins for my food and couldn’t even get an apology from management! Beware this place will kill you serving old oil like that!Too bad I can’t give 0 stars
