Used to have great service and food but I feel like the price has gone up a few times over the past few years. $19 for Birria Tacos feels just a little too high.My last visit was a takeout order and I was waiting for several minutes before the employees even spoke to me. My food was also quite cold when I received it.

This place has a great sit-down environment. I, however, have issues with this entire chain, not just this location. The food leaves something to be desired, and the margaritas are always premixed and have a non authentic taste.

I have to say the nice lady that took my order over the phone earlier she answered my question and my order was exactly how I wanted it and she was really nice even when I came to pick up my order , the food tasted great ! I’ll be coming back to this location just based off the staff , I have one in my city and I rather drive 30 minutes away just because of the staff ! Keep up the great work

My boyfriend and I went out for date night on Saturday Jan 6th. We place our orders and our waiter does not write anything down and it's starting to die down, big groups are leaving. So we get out food and it's the wrong thing, I had ordered the La flaka chopped salad with chicken and it came with shrimp. My boyfriend ordered California fish tacos with rice and beans instead of the rice and crema salad and it just came with crema salad. The waiter argued with us but took our food back and got the correct items. After we got our corrected food our waiter disappeared, we look at the table next across from us and he's sitting there taking shots of tequila with a friend (not assuming coworker since no plaza azteca shirt was on). My boyfriend gets up to go the restroom and sees another table full of employees (one of which looked like the manager) also drinking alcohol and ignoring their tables. We get our check and my meal was charged for the shrimp not the chicken and my boyfriend's meal had an upcharge of rice and beans when the meal comes with rice. We will not be returning.

I've been dining here since 2003 and it is still the best, quickest, and friendliest staff. I highly recommend the Seafood Chimichangas!

This is the best Mexican restaurant in the 757 as far as being the total package. Great everything! Amazing staff and restaurant.

We were just visiting the area. We found this place on Google and we just loved the food. The person who took our order was friendly and very nice. After we ordered, we didn't wait too long. The food had great taste!! We tried the "chimichanga de pollo" and "enchiladas" Delicious!!?

This is the first time visiting this location. Being a converted pizza hut did not present the atmosphere we were expecting. Service was slow and our meals came out before our appetizers which was disappointing. It feels like this location is geared more for the CNU students than others.

We went to the Jefferson Ave larger restaurant. I would give it an A+ experience. Staff was super nice. Restrooms were super clean, large, cool and beautiful. Even the sinks were hand hammered copper. I ordered the chicken pollo lunch and it was superb. The grilled Chicken was moist with fresh vegetables and rice and a cheese topping. Perfection. We also ordered lunch beef fajitas and they were excellent. Beef was tender and super flavorful. Being from Texas, we know Mexican food so bear this in mind. We’ve been eating Mexican food for 50 years. Chips were hot and fresh. Salsa was good. Ambience was very nice. Prices were outstanding for the quality and portion size. We would highly recommend. They also have a location in Williamsburg that has just as good of food as this one.

Now: Changed to a 5 stars. Everything is still excellent, and they have remodeled. We go at least once a week. Service and food is great each time. Before: Only a 4 because the interior needs work. Otherwise excellent.
