I came here because a coworker said they are better than Publix subs. Publix subs are 9.5/10 for me. I'd rate these a solid 7/10.The subs are perfectly fine. I wouldn't say they stand out, but it's obvious they are very popular with locals and good quality. The bread was really soft, and the ingredients seemed good quality.I'd eat here again.

Got a sub from there brought to me at the hospital. It was damn good and even still warm. Two thumbs up. Brownie ,chips ,and drink compliments the sub perfect.

This is my go-to place for a god sub. Great spot overall!
I enjoy going to hole in the wall places. In this case, a box. A friend recommended the place. Place wasn't fancy, but it was hopping. Lots of locals coming and going, which is a good sign. Order and pick up your food at the counter. The sandwiches we ordered were excellent. Definitely stopping by again.

Just picked up four whole subs, did not ask for them to be toasted as I normally do. When I got home I realize the special sauce was not on my subs. I called back and was informed that the cold subs do not come with a special sauce unless I specifically requested which I did not know. Asked if I could come up and get the sauce since that is what makes the sub special, I was told I would have to pay $1.50 for a small little cup of sauce and they would not provide me the sauce that would’ve gone on my subs. The gentleman was rude and very disappointing in his bad customer service. So if you’re going to get subs please make sure you ask what comes on a sub because apparently it’s different if it’s hot versus cold. Been eating here since I went to Ferguson high school and it’s very disappointing.

Coming from New York I always try to find a deli/sub shop in my area. This place may be small, but it is my absolute favorite!! Everytime I go in I'm greeted with so many smiles and the subs are amazing!

Finally got to try it out. Had a Turkey sub. Liked it a lot. Real mom and pop place that's been there since 1977 I believe. If you get the sweet tea, don't worry about how much ice is in your cup. It is so sweet, you can dilute it 50-50 with water and it's still sweet. And I love very sweet sweet tea.

Come here for the subs and special sauce and ignore everything else. It is worth the wait every time. A Newport News local find. If we are traveling nearby we always stop and sometimes will transport subs up the east coast to relatives in Richmond and DC!
