The fact that you would take someone's money and serve them food that is dried out covered in barbecue sauce so you think we are dumb enough not to notice it is old dried out is crazy. I also order string beans how u got that mixed up with mixed green beats me.

I ordered the soul food dinner plate (one for myself and one for my husband).Mine- baked white meat chicken with brown gravy, yams, and Mac and cheeseHis- baked white meat chicken with brown gravy, rice, and string beansHonestly, 8.7/10 for the food! The Mac was actually very cheesy and good, the yams were soft and sweet but not over the top, the chicken was perfectly cooked for white meat (not dry at all), string beans were good, and the gravy was a nice touch of flavors.My only complaint is that I which there were more of the sides. The chicken was large and two pieces were more than enough but the sides look like it was one scoop and I was expecting a bit more for 15.99. Just a note for myself and anyone else, the sides are good so just order an additional side of your liking!FYI, the pictures don’t do the flavors justice! I will definitely be going ordering from here again!!!

I wish i would’ve took a picture of the food but once i took my first bite i forgot to lol. But, I ordered the friend chicken wings and they were made fresh and they taste amazing. I got Mac and cheese and collard greens as the side . Tasted like some good home cooking.The customer service here is top tier. So, if you’re looking for a spot to get some good soul food this is the one.

I used to eat here all the time. They fell off so bad! They used to be so good now they are not good at all!!! I try to support small local businesses but I give up with them. I gave them too many chances and my order disappointed yet again. They always forget something or give you something wrong. If you want good soul food try bowman’s soul food in Hampton they are so delicious.
