I can't remember the individual who served us there for our anniversary in February.But the gentleman was very kind, helpful And because we've never eaten there before. He was very intuitive of the menu, and what was great to eat during that time?

My first visit to the Melting Pot. Went to the Newport News Virginia restaurant for a Birthday party. There were 9 of us. We were seated into a separate room with a long table that seated 12 people. There were 4 fondue pots on the tables. One pot for every 2 people, did I mention there were 9 of us. As the 9th stand alone person being charge $55 plus additional $6 for ordering the steak, I didn’t qualify to be considered a customer. I was told 3 times by my server that I was to eat the food off of the other 4 customers plates sitting next to me, not kidding! When I insisted that I was a paying customer and would not eat food from another customers plate, my server informed me that she would “sneak” me some food. I was to dip my food into the fondue pots that the other 4 customers were using. When I was asked my cheese selection, I was told that I could not be served that selection because I needed 3 of the other 4 customers sitting next to me to order the same variety because I was to share the cheese from their fondue pot. I ordered my steak grilled, so did the other 4 customers beside me. The manager came into the room to tell us that he could put only 1 griddle on the table because 2 griddles would set off the fire alarm so we must choose 1 griddle and 1 boil. Finally down to the dessert portion; what happened, again I wasn’t given any dessert. I asked my waitress if she was going to tell me to eat from the other 4 customers plate again and she said ‘Yes’ I again refused so she brought me a few pieces on my own plate and I could share the chocolate fondue from the other customers pots. Needless to say, very sad experience; had it not been a very special birthday I would have walked out. One thing for sure, there are 9 customers who will never again go to the Melting Pot

me and my friend had an amazing dinner with our waiter Julian! he was very attentive to our drinks and meal and made sure we were happy. Also kept a smile on our face with his jokes haha. Great place service and food!
