Yesterday, I went to that restaurant for a date. I must say, the food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the drunk duck burger and a platter of cheeses, and they were probably the best burger I've ever had! Added a piece of cheesecake at the end. What an amazing dinner and date!

After waiting 40 minutes for our food to arrive, my dinner companion was served carrion. Fillet mignon STANK. It was a rancid spoiled piece of meat. Stank up the whole restaurant. Food came so late we asked for boxes and bills which did not come in time. Unable to replace bad meals since it was so late and we had run out to a show.Black Bean burger had no cohesion - disentigraded. Impossible to consume as a handheld. And did not contain any of that crucial ingredient- FLAVOR.Horrible. Will never go back.

Dave is a great bartender! My man and I love their old-fashioned drink (less than $10). The appetizers are delicious... except for the deviled eggs. I'm not a fan. There is too much mayonnaise. Like, wayyy too much. Other than that,... great atmosphere, food, and drinks!

We had a 6:00 Res on Saturday and were promptly seated and the Server was great. She was very attentive. The she-crab soup was excellent, but the cup was very small. The kale Caesar salad was mostly lettuce. The fish tacos were very good. The short ribs were minimal and the polenta and other things didn't hide the small short rib. Everything was good, but I felt $100 was high for no alcohol or dessert, just 1 cup if soup, small salad, tacos and an entree.

We were married here in January and like the food quite a bit. This time around service was not nearly as good and noise levels were so loud we couldn't even have a conversation amongst the 4 of us at the table.

The crab bisque and wedge salad were excellent and we definitely recommend both of them. The web site touts a happy hour from 4-6 but does not specify that it is only for a few limited drinks. $14 for a single cocktail is expensive and in our opinion overpriced.

Husband & I had a very relaxing dinner last night. Atmosphere was laid back and the waitress was amazing! The Chicken Ceaser Wrap was so good. Hubby had fish Tacos and he said they were yummy...

Great food! The Scampi and the filet mignon were cooked perfectly. We were going to the hockey game and our server was great getting us through the service and out on time. Definitely a place to keep on your must try list!

We had dinner at 219 Bistro last night. Everything was great- drinks, gnocchi appetizer, surf n turf, pork chop, and dessert. My only complaint/ recommendation is for them to serve the gnocchi with some toast points or something similar to dip into the yummy sauce that is leftover! The restaurant was quiet when we arrived (5:30) and moderate, but not too crazy when we left (shortly after 7:00).

We enjoyed our meal at 219 Bistro. Nehemiah was a fine server. I had a kale caeser salad (it needed more lemon in it to soften the kale) and a small plate of delicious, good-sized, perfectly seared scallops over creamy risotto. A couple of pieces of succulent shrimp mixed in were a delightful morsel. My husband had the honey-sirachi glazed salmon atop a steaming, shredded veggie medley. Both dishes were far better than expected, as the atmosphere isn't very bistro-like really, with a dollop of smoky tomato jam for the scallops and cauliflower puree swirled across the salmon plate. It is open and airy in there, not too noisy, and good for watching people on the busy street. The bar seemed well-stocked.

Our table was ready upon arrival. Service was very good. My wedge salad was super large and super good. The crab bisque soup could have been a bit hotter. It had a little kick to it that I hadn't expected but didn't mind with plenty of crab meat. My husband had the salmon entree which he enjoyed.

My husband and I stopped in for happy hour before heading to the Governor's School for the Arts. The food was excellent, and so was our waitress. We will be back soon!

I absolutely love the 219 Bistro and whenever my man is in town we stay at the Autograph Glasslight Hotel in Norfolk and we always have dinner and drinks at the 219 Bistro. The food is absolutely amazing and delicious along with the drinks and the service is always impeccable each and every time. 5 stars always hands down with me this is one of my favorite restaurants ever in the downtown Norfolk area
