Have not been to Cogans for pizza in about 6 months. Today ordered a "supreme pizza" and added jalapeño and extra cheese. This pizza was worst than a frozen pizza ! So disappointed and would not hesitate telling others not to waste a time. Update...they did refund our money for the pizza. The salad and wings were satisfactory so I changed from 1 star to 3 stars. The Cogans at the other location was out GoTo place when dining in.

One mistake with wrong zza made, still got charged for it, and we were all well done by time right pie came out. The food, drinks, and atmosphere is great. Will go back. Have been going for years. It’s a Ghent institution.

Yes to the pizza and no to the pasta. This is without a doubt a local establishment...akin to dinosaur Barbeque in Syracuse New York. Perhaps not quite as established but definitely on the same strand. It's a locals Hangouts as well as a place that anyone from out of town should pop into and check out. The pizzas are phenomenal does a great atmosphere hair a good place to grab a few beers. Recently they've started serving brunch and it's been wildly successful. The white stuff are mostly female waitresses on the floor that are Beyond sassym.. More like in your face what do you want types that bristle a Finesse into the gruffness. Remember you're in Norfolk. Metaphor here is like a simili hahahaha sip of dark coffee it isn't bitter there is sweetness there you just have to look out for it. So be a pioneer, give Cogan's a try if you haven't already.

This place has some of the most fiendishly delicious pizza I've had, and that's high praise because I've been to Italy. Good drinks, too, and the pulpy fiction decór aesthetic is pretty rad.

After traveling 1.5 hours away, we ordered two large pizzas. Not only did our waitress not know any specials for drinks or give me a menu for drinks (other than scanning a barcode for BEER not liquor drinks like I asked) but she never came back to check on us for refills or anything. Can’t remember her name but she had purple hair. The pizzas were delivered on ALL crooked pizza trays AND stands which slid right off onto the floor. We had to wait ANOTHER 30 minutes with 5 kids, we asked to have the pizza boxed up. Do you think they discounted anything for the inconvenience after watching us chase our 2 & 3 year olds around the restaurant? Do you think they offered us booster seats or high chairs? No! We had to do everything ourselves. We could barely hear any music. Never going back. Ever! $70 for some extra salty tasting pizza. Our kids didn’t even like it. The manager or whoever he was apologized but once again, didn’t discount or even remove the pizza that fell on the floor which was their fault 100% - what an entire joke! This made our experience 20 times more stressful. Also, the zippers were broken to the outside patio where you can zip up or down in case it’s cold. So pizza stands, trays and outside zippers were all broken.

Average food, sub par service, questionable staff. Place makes me feel a little greasier than when I arrived. Won't be revisiting. Was also advised not to eat, I repeat NOT TO EAT anything prepared at this location. Shoutout the beanie dude that said not to eat here, and Keith, cool guy Cogans north supremacy!! What the heck is a cogans ghent

Went late afternoon on a Friday. Ordered a Godzilla pizza, a sprite and beer. Pizza came out quickly enough. Sprite was not good. Ended up with a Dr Pepper. Waitress did try to apologize for sprite issues. All carbonation tank malfunction. Anyway sat outside. Chairs ok not much in the way of ambiance as it's an enclosure. Overall I give this place 3 stars.

I don’t know if the staff could be any slower at this location. Our first and last time at this location. 10 people in the whole bar… got there at 6, drinks were slow and watered down (watched and listened at the bar while your blonde bartender “taught” another to add water to an old fashioned to “raise the level above the ice”…), food slow, our friends pizza was wrong (waitress proved she had it right), and then almost 15 min to check out. We were on a time crunch at the end, made that known, didn’t make a difference. To top it all off, we were to be at Chartway to see the Globetrotters tonight, and we missed the opening because of the staff’s incompetence. So, thanks for nothing with my $100 tab!!Now we know why we go to Colley Ave!!
