If you like Southern Soul food, this place is a must in Richmond! Generous portion sizes, excellent flavors, and the corn bread is amazing. The staff is very welcoming and the customers are kind. The restaurant itself is dated but still is warm and cozy.

This croaker spot is awful!!! The only thing good was the fish. I had the seafood platter and everything besides the fish was extra greasy and slimy with no flavor at all. Had the stuffed salmon with a spoonful crabmeat on the top. I have never had a bad experience in the Richmond or Petersburg location, so it was surprising to actually have 2 bad experiences here. Please get it together!!!

We went here on a recommendation and were not disappointed. Soul food, quite a variety of choices. Catfish was amazing, the Shrimp and Grits was fabulous.... Looking at what others had, I think you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. We should have split a plate, there was PLENTY of food on the plate.

My first time here and I found the food and portions were fantastic! I had the fried catfish and she had the grilled salmon....all was excellent. If we could find one thing to complain about it would be that the fried oyster appetizer had a spicy seasoning (strong bite) which was not listed in the description. So just a little too hot for my taste. The collards and grits sides were delicious. Too bad we had to put up with Grubhub for delivery. Next time we will pick up on our own and avoid their incompetency.

Large portions and the waitress was very attentive...The only problem I had was 1 particular employee was loud and tried to sing every song on the radio..Not this spot the one in Petersburg just do your job and leave rhe singing to the pros..Annoying ?
