Update in addition to their great food the wings and hours made blue cheese dip is awesome.Great new location, working through a new opening but staff and food really good. Recommend without reservation. Do look up the difference between an American pizza versus Apizza. Very good!

Sooooooo I've heard nothing but great things and have to say I'm not impressed. The pizza is really good. We tried the calamari and it was AWFUL. We ordered a bottle of red and it was placed in a "chiller".... It was not an inexpensive dinner. I'll probably wait a few months abs try it again, we shall see.....

Best pizza in Hampton Roads by a longshot! Really delicious. Called to make reservations for our second visit and they said something about yelp and making reservations. Gave me the idea that they didn’t want to take reservations over the phone and that I had to do it online. Then I tried to make reservations through yelp, and I can’t figure out how to do it, I think you have to sign into yelp and have an account. I have no idea. That kind of sucks

This place is awesome! We are so glad we found this place; the vibes were up there even at 9:30pm which was great for us night owls. The focaccia looked unassuming but was a perfect combination of flavors. Our server was so nice to us and gave us many recommendations. The brick oven spinach sausage ricotta pie though…. it’s good good. Like one of the best pizzas I’ve had this year. We are coming back next time for more
The pizza was burnt and for the price it's not worth it.. The waiter was nice and understood that my pizza wasn't right and to it off my bill.. I wasn't impressed so more than likely, I would not be returning..

Came here with my in laws while visiting. Having lived in CT for almost a decade, I left really impressed. We ordered four pies and split them as a group and each slice was fantastic. I especially appreciated how they were able to perfect the char in a true homage to New Haven! The potato pie with a hint of rosemary was decadent. The ricotta was creamy and delicious atop a beautiful sauce, beside wonderful meatballs. Can’t forget to mention the tomato pie. We had amazing service too! Definitely recommend this apizza joint, well named as it really does represent a Connecticut pie well. Excited to dine here again on our next trip down to VA!

The pizza is really good. New Haven pizza is different than traditional so be ready. Crispy to burnt crust and very simple sauce, but it works well and is worth a try. Specialty pizzas are great.
The food was fantastic from start to finish, wait staff was friendly, and the atmosphere had just the right amount of eccentricities. I will definitely be coming back whenever I'm in the area.

District Apizza is a great place to go get authentic pizza and Italian dishes. Deo and Liz truly make this place feel as if you are home. I highly recommend giving District a go.Also, I read a few reviews about wait time. Sometimes mistakes truly happen and if you feel as if you have been waiting to long, you can also take initiative to get help. If this has happened, give this place another try.
