Such sweet people working here. Great food!! Out of the garlic soy when I came but so glad I got the teriyaki 10 pc wings instead. Their tea is so diverse here compared to other boba shops. The inside is so cute and I just got a student discount today.

Best creme brulee strawberry smoothie ever. Trust me! It brings us coming back every time!

The decoration of this location is beautiful but the concept is not well executed. Walking in I thought I had the wrong location because the outside signage does not indicate 2 restaurants with a shared space. It was really nice to see the Japanese history on the wall which then drew my attention to the asthetics and Japanese language throughout the store. In attempting to use the front kiosk to order food I noticed it was only drinks. There was no signage explaining how to order and the employees were more concerned with socializing with one another. I stood around at least 3 minutes before someone greeted me. That does not seem long, but average greeting time in my experience across multiple eateries 30 seconds or less. After I ordered the employee told me the food kiosks were off to the left instead of being in the same vicinity as the food register.

During our visits to Gong Cha we've had:The Bulgogi sandwich (10/10)Pork Banh Mi (10/10 and a big portion)Shrimp tempura dry noodles (10/10)Boss burger (10/10)Shrimp Shumai (juicy and flavorful, not sure if they're housemade but great nonetheless)The loaded beef and cheese fries (probably the best bang for your buck as it's a huge portion for an appetizer price)As well as the matcha latte and creme brulee drinks which are fantasticThe drinks side has a lot of great unique options and the food side has really good prices for a variety of interesting and delicious meals, the presentation is adorable and the place is pink, cute and very photogenic.

Such a cute and cozy little spot. It shares a location with "Food Paradise". The ordering stations are right next to each other. I ordered a Thai iced tea with boba and it was very good. Not too sweet, and a good amount of yummy delicious boba. The young lady at the desk was very nice and service was very fast. I got my drink in less than 3 minutes. It's a cute space to come hang out with your friends and eat, study, or even play some board games. They had shelves full of games to use. I will definitely come back here.

I love this spot. I usually come here when I visit my son at ODU. I love anything taro or ube and the way they do the smoothies here is perfect I definitely recommend you stopping through to get a delicious fix

This is my first time at a Gong Cha store. This location is located near ODU, on Monarch Way. I was in the area and had heard about the combo set up with Food Paradise (I will write a separate review), an Asian fusion fast casual spot, so I decided to check it out for the drinks and eats. Gong Cha is to the left of the set up when you walk in. There are two self-order kiosks. There are menus on TV screen overhead, but the way the drinks are set up on the ordering system was a bit confusing, as I had a hard time finding the one I wanted on the system. I ended up having to ask for assistance anyway (this is why I don't think robots can take over the world entirely LOL). I opted for the mango green tea marble tea. I honestly ordered it for the looks, but the taste turned out to match the looks! It had a hint of the green tea minus the bitterness and the mango flavoring was a nnit creamy but not super thick! I added some rainbow jelly and it was so good! I would definitely get this again! Also, on the Gong Cha side, they made a whole pink flower wall section/corner thing. Fun photo opp! Go out and support and enjoy!

I had the pleasure of trying Gongcha's milk tea in August, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. As a self-proclaimed boba tea enthusiast, I've tasted my fair share of milk teas from various establishments, but Gongcha truly stands out.First and foremost, the boba pearls in Gongcha's milk tea are exceptional. They strike the perfect balance between chewiness and tenderness, and their consistency is consistently spot-on.Speaking of tea, Gongcha offers an impressive range of flavors to choose from. Whether you prefer classic milk tea, fruity infusions, or even cheese foam toppings, they have something to suit every palate. I particularly enjoyed their traditional milk tea, which had a rich and creamy texture without being overly sweet. The service at Gongcha is top-notch as well. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist with recommendations. They take the time to explain the menu and provide guidance based on individual preferences, ensuring that each customer finds their perfect cup of milk tea.Overall, I highly recommend Gongcha for any boba tea lover. It's a place where you can indulge in a satisfying and refreshing beverage while enjoying excellent service.Note: This review is based on my personal experience and taste preferences, and your experience may vary.

As a lover of all things Boba, I've ordered from them multiple times before, but the customer service by a team member (Cole) tainted my view on this place during an incident. As my order, in which was paid and tipped by me was called, I went to retrieve it from the counter just like any other time. Hesitating, the team member kept asking if it was mine, insisting it may have belonged to a couple (Caucasian) whom ordered after me, insinuating that I may have been lying. After several polite"yes" confirmations, in which I shouldn’t have to do, he finally handed me the drink. Although this may have been an"off" day for him, which I understand, it does not negate the fact that I felt somewhat profiled and very disrespected. The drink was good, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the workers are often nice, but the service I received makes me hesitant to return and felt to let others know.

I went back to VA Beach to visit my family and discovered this new Gongcha location. Before I moved, I tried the one in VA Beach and had positive experiences with that location. This gongcha location differs from the one in VA Beach, the one in Norfolka offers snacks and food,it called FOOD PARADISE. This is a good combination because you can drink milk tea and try Asian snacks at the same store. I ordered ginger milk tea, which was delicious despite the 30% sugar. I also bought a Vietnamese baguette, dry noodle, ultimate french fries, egg rolls, steamed bun, rice bowl and some macarons to try. Vietnamese baguette: 7/10, the inside was good but the crust didn't look like a Vietnamese sandwich, which isn't bad.P/S:. THEIR BURGER BOSS IS THE

Keep in mind this location has two options of Gong Cha and Food Paradise. When you walk in, there are two kinds of kiosk to order at. The left for Food Paradise and the right for Gong Cha. Off the bat, I found that to be interesting and not clearly identified, but you can see once you start ordering which menu options are available at the kiosks. This was my second time back to this location and the first time I just opted for a boba drink and it was good. My second time around I wanted to try food options since they had a pretty large menu. Big mistake. Myself and maybe three other people had placed orders at around 12:15, and didn't get our food until ~12:40. Not a quick turn around time given that it's lunch time and not many people ordering. I had ordered the beef bulgogi dry noodles (pictured) and an order of shumai. The shumai was decent. However the dry noodles I can't even describe. It tasted like ketchup was used for the sauce of the noodles? And the beef bulgogi didn't have a nice flavor to it. The egg was also over cooked. So I'd recommend for a boba drink perhaps, but for food not so much.
