Finally stopped in to this place for taco Tuesday. What a great little place! It's small, cozy w/lots of light & simple decor. The service was friendly & quick. Taco Tuesday specials are great as are their happy hr offerings! I had the birria tacos..absolutely delicious & stuffed to the top! Their white sauce that comes w/the chips & salsa is also very good. Also took advantage of the happy hr prices for their margaritas & got a frozen Mango marg.. also delicious! Prices are reasonable & in line w/most other places in the area that are of the same quality. Highly recommend this place for a nice date night or just a taco Tuesday solo dolo!Vegetarian options: They had vegetarian options but they are not numerous.

I've been to lola three times since it first opened and have seen improvement each time. It has potential to be an excellent restaurant and addition to the East Beach neighborhood if they could just adjust some minor- but important- issues.1. There's no free chips and salsa. It's $3.50 and doesn't come with enough chips. It does, however, come with salsa and a tasty white sauce2. There's no tacos "a la cart" which was particularly disappointing for taco Tuesday. They say "$3 off tacos" but it's only for a set of 3. So instead of $16 for 3 Al pastor tacos it's $13.. so still $4.33 per taco. And you can't mix and match which is a huge bummer3. The "house margarita" comes premixed. It's too sweet and can't even finish one.I judge good Mexican off of the chips & salsa, tacos and margs & this place just misses the mark for all three.That being said- the food I have eaten there, in particular the Al pastor and the queso chorizo appetizer are excellent! Only wish they had some sort of chipotle aoili sauce to go with the tacos.The environment is very nice & it is a higher end Mexican option & a nice place for a date night.

The food is delicious. The vegan chorizo is phenomenal. So amazing.Came in at an awkward time so the number of guests briefly outnumbered the staff, but this resolved halfway through.Air was a little cold, but again, there were less people when I was in and there would be more later. Atmosphere picked up throughout the dinner.Vegetarian options: Phenomenal vegan chorizo. Impressed the meat eaters.

Great restaurant. We were there at 5PM on a Friday during their Happy hour. Our waitress was excellent. Very attentive and personable. Great atmosphere with a beachy theme. The food was excellent. Great choices for American-Mexican entrees. Will definitely be back. Great decor and you feel like you are not in Norfolk.

Ocean view/east beach in general is my favorite place. I moved here 8 years ago and immediately fell in love with the area. I live in Virginia Beach but ocean view is absolutely underrated. Lola’s opened recently and my husband and I finally got around to going. This is hands down one of the best places I’ve eaten in the 757 and the vibe is awesome. Even their playlist! Our waiter was Shane and he was fantastic! I jokingly told him he’d win our dogs heart over with an ice cube…and he brought out a whole bowl! All 3 of us will be back this summer. The food and service is amazing! I tried the grilled shrimp guacamole, tacos, a hibiscus margarita with black salt, and a guava Margarita. Everything was very fresh and it’s a great atmosphere with friendly staff. The most exciting thing about this place is it’s located right across from the beach and they have over 13 margarita flavors to choose from plus happy hour options which is a plus. I’m so glad I found this place. I will definitely be going back all summer and beyond.
