This is a difficult review to write. My husband and I were very much looking forward to trying this restaurant. First- the positives. The ambiance is quite nice and the food was very good. They have an excellent selection of local oysters, and the brussel sprouts were amazing. Unfortunately, the positive experience was outweighed by a very negative experience with the manager on duty that night. We elected to purchase a relatively inexpensive bottle of wine. Mind you, the wine in question retails for about $20, meaning the wholesale cost to the restaurant is obviously much less. Why does this matter? Because the wine was TERRIBLE. Bitter and sharp-- it was not palatable. Others might like it-- we absolutely did not. Our very kind and professional server offered to discuss this with the manager-- who then rudely informed us that we absolutely would have to pay for the bottle, and didn't offer to reduce the costs in any way, or offer any savings on a replacement bottle. Unlike the manager, I gracefully decided to make the best of the situation, purchased a DIFFERENT bottle of wine so we could enjoy our dinner, then gave away the other bottle before we left. What is most frustrating is that a restaurant of this caliber was unwilling to work with us in any way to help remedy the situation-- their suggestion was just "spend more money". Although I enjoyed the meal and the service of our waiter, we will never return, and I cannot recommend this restaurant to others.

This place was very very nice inside. From the walk in the hostess was very nice as well. The ambiance was also great too. The server was very attentive and also very knowledgeable of the menu. The corn bread muffins tasted like they were freshly made once we sat down. The food was also great and the presentation was even better. To be off in the cut off of granby Street this place is definitely one that needs to be visited. Great great place very good selection on the menu as well.

It was our first time there. The food was phenomenal. We got the oysters Rockefeller, the scallops entree wrapped in bacon jacket, the salmon oscar entree, and creme brulee for dessert. The atmosphere was nice. We sat downstairs. I sort of wish the tables were slightly farther apart bc I felt like I was on the date of the couple to the left and right of me. It also got pretty loud in there and was hard to hear the person only a foot across from me. Service was good and friendly.

I came here for dinner .Everything was pretty standard until I realized I had a fly in my wine glass ( or some kind of bug). The waiter tried to say it was corn bread . I would be really surprised if he actually thought that . The picture is attached . No way that is a tiny piece of cornbread. When all was said and done , he did replace the glass with no extra charge. Usually when something like that happens the restaurant really checks in on you and really apologies for what happened ( it does happen from time to time ). It was very dissatisfying how nonchalant the waiter was about the situation .Other than that the food was great. Seared Scallops were perfect .Would probably have to twist my arm to desperately come back .

The smoked clams were the star! The oysters were also delicious and so so fresh (we got both kinds). We also had the Halibut, Red Snapper, Crab Cake, Shrimp and Grits. Drinks /cocktails were well made. There was a limited children’s menu - 3 items - pasta with buttered Parmesan cheese, chicken fingers with french fries, and fried shrimp. The desserts are made in house and very delicious. Service was excellent and for the atmosphere, cool place the ceiling was translucent and you could see the people walking above. It was a little dark and hard to read the menu. We were a table of 5 people and will return again. Thanks for a wonderful night out!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner last night! Brandon, G and Ernest took excellent care of us! Food was wonderful, service was great and the company was even better! We elected downstairs-good music and friendly staff!

This is two restaurants in one with a bar on the lower level and a formal dining room on the top... We opted for the formal dining room. We ordered a cocktail, and our waiter promptly pushed us for our entrée order... we placed an appetizer order, and before the drinks were even to the table, we were asked for entrée order a second time... The drinks took forever, but when they arrived, we were asked a third time for our entrée order, even though we had not received our appetizer - The restaurant had several empty tables, yet we were feeling very rushed. I had the jambalaya, which was delicious with just the right amount of spice. Five Stars overall, and we would definitely come back, but probably try the downstairs tavern area and stay away from the more formal and rushed dining room.

We had a reservation at 5pm it wasn't busy but the sevice was very slow. It took a long time to.get appetizers, our entree and the bill. I ordered a med steak and it was really tough and not well seasoned. Abience was nice and people were friendly but not worth the money or the wait time.

We were seated right away for our reservation and the restaurant was busy. Service was slow which they apologized for. They seemed understaffed. It was very loud downstairs. My husband's oysters were fine but not as good as ones he had elsewhere the night before. It took a while to have our main course order taken. I had the vegetable curry which had no curry that I could tell. I saw and tasted only too much oil and black pepper. My husband's shrimp and grits were only okay. We did not find much enjoyment here and will not be back.

The server was not available most of time. One hour before we received our appetizers. I had the fresh fish and the entire meal was terrible. The appetizer , shrimp cocktail was still frozen. Do not recommend

Made a 5:30 reservation somehow it got cancelled. Then made another one at 4:00 pm which was good and honored. We were the first people there and was seated at the very first table as you walk in we asked to be moved by the fireplace. The manger had to be asked when he came over we were seated. In observation the remaining people were seated in other areas even one in a booth. The restaurant was relatively empty meaning tables were available all over. Our waitress was AMAZING ! We were having a great time and conversation. Then one of the leads came over after we finished diner and said hey we need this table. Honestly, I have never been asked to get up from a table at a restaurant especially when in my count there were 5 /7 empty tables. Just a little puzzled !! Love the food and drinks but definitely want to share our experience. LRM
