The food was marginal. Definitely not worth the prices. Our server was pleasant and attentive but for a table of 8 our food came out sporadically. There wasn't much Peking but the interior was nice..

This is by far the worst that Tidewater, Virginia has to offer as a Seafood and Chophouse. I have traveled the entire east coast extensively dinning in some of most notable establishments and the food and service is lacking to the lowest degree on any chart by far than the worst that I have ever experienced. The she-crab soup was pitiful and tasted as if it had been warmed over several times with added old-bay seasonings that made it good for nothing. The hush puppies were refried after being refrigerated leaving them greasy and crunchy but hard to swallow. The fish and shrimp was so old that the batter would not stick causing a complete mess of uncooked food and overcooked batter. My fork was unable to penetrate the meat. Our service was lacking and somewhat disappointing. We left like we arrived, a little hungry and hoping to find a better adventure elsewhere. Off the hook should be off the map.

Overpriced.. Rock fish is highly pushed on you but not seasoned well at all.. calamari was undercooked crabcakes were the best green beans were the best hush puppies were the best however, these things should be good at a restaurant of this magnitude

Food was good and restaurant is nice. Our waitress was nice and pleasant. The only dislike was when my husband and I walked in, the hostess was not present. No one acknowledged that we were standing there waiting.

Very nice upscale restaurant. Food was delicious. Our waiter James was fabulous, he told us about the special and drinks available. It was my first time visiting but my sister n law and husband had been a couple time before. Once you order they bring hushpuppies out and they are yummy. I had the shrimp and grits, delicious ? we will be back when we visit again.

The macaroni and cheese, chicken fingers and French fries were my favorite and I ordered these for my 2 y/o grandson. Things ordered that I wasn't a fan of- shrimp cocktail was nice sized shrimp but I feel it was previously frozen, crab dip and chips were greasy, the NY strip sweet and savory dry rub was too sweet, risotto was dry and flavorless. Key lime pie tasted frozen, thankfully they comped us for it. Things ordered that I did like mac n cheese (#1 and I do not like it in most places!)chicken tenders, French fries were really good. By the time I ate the hush puppies it was cold and hard but had nice flavor. Green beans were all dente which are my preferred way of eating them, the strip steak was nice but I didn't like the rub. Cheesecake tasted nice (I'm generally not a cheesecake fan). I was told the chicken Alfredo and the crab Mac n cheese were nice. My steak was cooked as requested, one person order medium filet and the inside was raw. They also ordered fries that never came out. Service was in slow side, took about 30 mins to get 2 beers out, and I was offered a refill on my soda while eating dessert but left before it ever came. I was really jonesing the chocolate cake which they no longer carry. The staff were all very pleasant though. This place has the potential to be great with some tweaks. I hope they work on it. This place was not crowded at all, so I really could not understand how or why. I could have definitely spent the $300 (5 adults/1 toddler) + elsewhere and enjoyed it more.

It was our first visit to Off the Hook. They exceeded my expectations. The cocktails were mixed perfectly, the food was amazing, the server was friendly and efficient. The dining room was pleasant, comfortable, and clean. Will definitely frequent here often.

Frank our waiter was wonderful. Such amazing service. Wish the food was the same. Not much taste. The she crab soup was SO fishy tasting. The mashed potatoes looked like grits-so much so our son asked what they were.

Very nice and elegant dining. Excellent food and ambiance. Beautifully decorated with artistic walls and glass wall fireplace. Easy place to talk, enjoy a great meal and be able to hear each other. We will be back soon.

This a review on open table who took our reservation request and then confirmed our Sunday Luncheon, while warning us that not showing would incur losing our creditcard deposit When we showed the restaurant was closed. Nobody to be blamed but open table And now Open Table wants a review? They should update their software

When we try to make our reservations for our preferred time, we were offered earlier times only. However when I called to change our number the hostess was gracious and kind and understanding. Unfortunately that did not make up for the very cold decor and empty restaurant. It is unfortunate that the ambience is not as welcoming as the hostess and employees. The food was good and our service was excellent.

Mediocre. Staff was nice but food lack luster and tastes like everything has been canned or previously frozen. Feels like youre at a tourist trap but without any of the fun ambiance. Overly priced for very average meal

Fish was overcooked and a little dry… Everything else was PERFECT! Crab cakes, scallops, shrimp, vegetables and oysters… the MUSSELS WERE EXCELLENT!My favorite. I’ll definitely return and recommend.

So I had the seared tuna for an appetizer and the crab stuffed salmon with fingerling potatoes and risotto. The tuna was fresh and tasty but it was cut a bit thicker than I'd like but that's a minor issue. The salmon and the potatoes and risotto was all cooked perfectly, my only complaint is that it was all under seasoned and a bit underwhelming. The inside and atmosphere was very modern and chic. Not a bad experience, just the food needed a bit more love.

Our first time here & it was great. I got the fried oysters. They had a lot of batter & a bit over cooked but were still good. Our server, Bonnie was amazing! TEN stars for her.. she was great! ?
