Let me preface this by stating that I had heard not so great things about the food, so I NEVER ate there when I lived in Norfolk. This review is solely based on libations and service. I really enjoyed going to Red Dog in 2017 when I lived in Norfolk. There are a lot of haters who talk about the management/service, but I honestly never had a problem with it. To this day, I have maintained relationships with people who used to work there even with moving a myriad of states away. Everyone was always friendly and the spot drew an eclectic group of individuals that always made for an interesting conversation. Unreal drink specials that they had there. I'm talking absolute steals. They had numerous happy hours, then some absurd hourly specials on certain days. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at Red Dog and will assuredly be back on my next trip to Norfolk.

Tried to go on a Thursday at 4 because both their website and google said they were open stating at 3. Upon arrival it because clear that they are obviously not and there was no postage on the door saying why they were closed. They must need to update their hours or something. Very upsetting

Great power hour deals. There are plenty of TVs for catching whichever game you want. Outdoor area is great during the nicer weather.

The new menu offers a great selection of delicious food choices. The wings I ordered were sooo good and the drinks on point. My waiter was both friendly and attentive. He was also able to help us make some great choices. Thank you Woody for taking such good care of us. You get five stars.

Red Dog is OG Ghent. Been around forever, and for good reason. Happy hour specials are unbeatable, the food rocks and the service is always stellar. Nothing to complain about, easy 5 stars

Went here with a few buddy's to kick back and have a few drink. It was fun and enjoyable at first. Between three of us spent 300$ here only for their manager to try and physically fight me and my friend at the end of the night because we rode a lime scooter on the sidewalk. This guy is an a** and I highly recommend against going there. The service was sub par as well. Our waitress rarely checked up on us and we had to find her to order more drinks. Fried pickles were good that was the only positive experience of this place.
I wouldn't go to any place owned by this guy! The service is probably crappy bc he treats his employees horribly!

We went here after our kickball game. The bartender was kind of rude and dismissed us right away, as part of the obnoxious group that was there before us. But our waitress was okay. It was a difficult situation to manage because we were so many people... but the drink specials are pretty good
