There were not enough people here eating! Had a friend in town and we were nearby so I recommended this place. I had the pollo guisado (stewed chicken), with arroz amarillo, and frijoles negros. This is one of the best deals in HR, with the amount of food you get for the price, and I've had several different meals here. You will not be disappointed!

This restaurant is NOT Dominican Rest. It was once owned by Dominicans. Now, it's own from people from a different country. Pretending they cook Dominican food. That's why your order be all messed up. They don't understand the names of food that are from Santo Domingo. They going to mess up your order. Remember, I warned you.

Ohhhhhhhh man this place. First time here, 1 hour before closing. I got the rice and steak, my friend got the rice and stewed chicken. They were both pre-prepared, in the heater. I thought it was gonna be kind of dry, ya know, end of the night, foods been out.I WAS WRONG. I WAS SO WRONG. I needed a napkin to wipe the juciness off my beard. Idk how they made this meat THIS TENDER. The flavor was A-1.The service was like I was part of their family (in the good way).Go here. Eat, be happy, come back and eat again.

They don’t speak English. I guess that’s why they always get the order wrong. They also are very rude. Came here on my lunch break and spent 30 min trying to get my order right. I will tell anybody I know to stay away from these people. I am a social media influencer. Seems to me like they don’t respect the black dollar. The girl at the counter was horrible. Stayed on her phone the whole time. I will never come back here again.

It's ok... First of all my chicken empanada has bones in it. White rice was clumpy...beans were mostly broth. The chicken was tasty and perfectly cooked. Went there on a Saturday at noon and the bar was full of guys drinking the music was very loud and all you could hear was people screaming over the music and I couldn't just sit inside and eat with my daughter. Not so family friendly on that side. Other than that it's a good place to grab lunch on the go since they have food already ready to serve.

This place is ripped me off today. I ordered from the menu two empanadas priced a $3 each on that menu and a small cup of black beans priced at $2.50. That should have totaled $8.50, but when the check came I was charged instead $13.00 for them (state and local tax were on top of that). When I protested I was told that the prices had gone up that the empanadas were actually $4.50 each and the beans were actually $4.00. I was not in the mood to fight this so I paid and left, but I will never go back there.
