15 minutes within sitting down, a roach runs across the table. On top of that the food came out wrong. The bill was only comped 20% and we were given $5 vouchers that expired in 2022 (2 years ago). Our waitress Salam was cool , even though we'll not be returning

Let me start by saying, I love boil bay. This was my graduation dinner from my wife. We had an 8 person group and the staff sat us as a table for 12, so this is perfect for large parties. Our server was great. Bubbly and playful personality which made ordering feel pressure free and unrushed. This was a Thursday so the drink special was a Kentucky apple martini, had to have one! It was strong enough to taste the alcohol but not make it over powering. My wife commented it tasted like cheaper liquor but for $6 I couldn't complain. I created my own bag with 1pound of shrimp, 1pound of green mussels and all potatoes. I got the spiciest heat level with garlic butter flavoring. I also added a side of rice which I like to dump into my boil sauce! What I can say is this place can get pricey pretty quick. We ended up spending about $90 for my wife and I. I would also like to note, for parties 6 or more there is an automatic 18% gratuity which equated to about $15 of our tab. I'm still in search of great seafood but boil bays consistency is keeping my content while I'm in the Norfolk Area!

Came here for my great nephews Birthday. Everyone one said there boil bags were good. My dad said the clam chowder was the best he has ever eaten. I had the shrimp po boy and it was really good. Forgot to take pics. Our server Jasmine was very professional and friendly. Great service!

We went at 1pm on a Friday. We had a reservation for 15ppl. Half of your party has to be present to b seated. A few of us arrived so waited at the bar. The bar service was slow both at the table and bar. We received food and were still waiting on drinks. I believe the bartender was new. They also didn't have items to make basic cocktails. For example, a rum runner. The food was fast and delicious. I'd return. Loved the music and the atmosphere.

I ordered my food today and it was horrible. My crab legs don't even crack and the meat taste old. I want my money back and will never go there again.

This is our new favorite spot for date night!! The employees and everyone is so nice Our server Niyah M. Was the best she was very attentive and kept coming back to check on us to make sure we were good even while training someone. We ordered a seafood boil bag with shrimp, crab legs, black mussels ,corn, eggs, sausage with the boil bay special sauce in spicy. Everything was cooked to perfection. The ambience is perfect for a date night or a family party or get together. If you haven't tried out this spot you are missing out. This place is a must try for everyone. We will be returning again soon.

I had never heard of this place and was looking for good seafood in the Norfolk, VA area. Service was okay- seating areas were spread really far apart and minimal servers which meant running around and not as much attention- although we did get everything we asked for. General thoughts on the food - the flavors were good and food was reasonably priced. The overall feel of the restaurant was a bit strange. Large, large location and not even 1/4 of the restaurant was utilized.

Had Janiya as our waitress overall everyone was very rude. I'm here visiting family and we went to the the Virginia Beach location and had Reggie Dec 2nd and he was amazing the fact that I come to the same place different location is wild and some how the drink prices went up between the locations.

Cant give a zero when there was literalky zero service....If you knew there was a mix up with your servers when I was sat, then someone should have at least come to my table in the 10 minutes I waited.....and watched a table sat after me get their order and their app......sorry, you can't make that excuse! Especially when a waitress walked past me multiple times.....too many other choices to ever come back

By far the best "boil" restaurant I've been to. Nothing was overcooked. Staff was great. Delicious drinks. Worth the stars

Boil Bay crawfish in the house sauce was amazing. Blew me away. Also ordered the soft shell crab basket and that was great too. Definitely coming back again next visit.

I'm a frequent visitor to Boil Bay, and I've always loved their seafood boil and drinks, especially the martinis. However, my recent visit to the Norfolk location left me extremely disappointed.I usually go for the "Happiness in the Bag" combo special, which I adore. Unfortunately, this particular visit was marred by a serious issue. My friends and I were excitedly enjoying our food and drinks when we spotted a roach crawling on the wall. We promptly alerted two male employees who, unfortunately, didn't speak English very well, but they attempted to address the issue.Regrettably, it seemed like they either didn't eliminate the problem effectively or that there were multiple roaches. Just moments after they claimed to have dealt with it, we spotted another one crawling on our table near our food and drinks. This was a severe hygiene concern and extremely off-putting.We decided to approach the front and request a manager (which they did not come out or say anything to us) because we couldn't continue our meal in these conditions. We had only taken a few sips of our drinks and a few bites of our food, as the food arrived before our drinks.I sincerely hope that Boil Bay addresses this roach problem promptly. I've always enjoyed their food and drinks, but until this issue is resolved, I won't be returning. I'm also concerned about the Virginia Beach location; I hope they don't have the same problem.

It's the sauce! Trust me, it doesn't matter what you eat it on--get that dang BOIL BAY SAUCE! Mild or spicy--that doesn't matter either. When u tell you that sauce will CHANGE YOUR LIFE--hear me on that one.I don't even eat meat or seafood....I got that sauce on corn and three potatoes and I was licking the bag like the other people with that steam bag.Last warning: GET THE SAUCE!!!!

It's cool if you want a roach to join you for dinner. Just know that I'm never going back
