It appears closed for good. The phone is disconnected and the place is dark for a while.

Group outing - we were charged twice. Went with some colleagues one night for dinner. We may have been the only customers in the whole place. Most of use didn't enjoy our meals. One person ordered the pork chop and thought it was great. Everything else was not good. The bigger issue is that most of us in our group was charged for the meal in Feb. and then our credit cards were charged again in March. Several of us have tried contacting the restaurant but can't get a response. AVOID this place!!!

Definitely only for those who were “born and raised Southern”. While I do love some good sautéed green beans, I’m not a big fan of pimento cheese, the cheese used in their grilled cheese dish, and how spongy their “Mom’s Meatloaf’ is. Chicken tenders basket is definitely your safest bet. Raspberry tea is definitely on the tart side, but I love sour drinks so maybe I’m a LITTLE biased.

I got the fried chicken meal and the chicken had not one taste of seasoning and cooked hard. Mashed potatoes was not seasoned with not one grain of salt. The baby green beans had all the season on them. $30 wasted, and this was my 1st time there. Not going back. This was my taste of the food, you would have to try for yourself.

Great food my son had the chicken tenders and fries, I had the pork chop, and my boo had the meatloaf, and the $5 mimosas & sweet potato biscuits were on point

The ambiance. The drinks. The food. Everything was amazing. The 80's music was different but I enjoyed it. The food was seasoned very well. And the portions were well worth the money. Definitely can't wait to come back...

I used to love the pork chop on your menu but not anymore. Has no flavor and cornbread it has no seasoning, is dry & hard! I called and spoke manager Vincente and he told me I would be able to get a refund. I told him I don’t know what my receipt was bc I usually don’t have any issues and he said it wouldn’t be a problem. Now today my husband goes up there for the refund and it’s a problem.

This food is so nasty everything taste like water . Chicken tenders breading and water. Macaroni n cheese noodle water and light cheese. I just feel like the word southern should come out the name then I'd be like it's my fault for coming here. The Southern is a gimmick cause ain't nothing southern about it. Hospital food taste better. I had to recook the Mac and cheese and I spent $68 dollars for nothing. Turkey burger taste like beyond meat. Waffles was ok cause I know there store bought. Collards very Vinegar no seasoning. Just awful . I usually just never go back but I spent basically $70 for trash and for two people because it's d*** expensive for no reason. Probably why y'all had no customers cause food nasty. Smells like straight chemicals when you walk in.

Hands-down the best salmon I've ever had in my life. I tried to eat healthy today so I got a salad with salmon and some sides. The baby green beans were amazing, the collard greens were through the roof, the broccoli was fantastic, but the salmon was to die for. I would recommend this place to anyone. Also nice pours on the water!!! And to make this even better they recognized me!!! Tell them Bert sent you!!!

My friends and I wanted some southern food. When we got to southern eats, it was very nice on the inside and the waiter was kind. I ordered the fried chicken with two sides. I was very disappointed. The fried chickens bread was thick, HARD, and unseasoned. For the sides, I got a the macaroni and cheese. It was not cheesy. It tasted like garlic noodles with a hint of cheese. The second side I had was greens. It was unseasoned with a strong vinegar taste. I was disappointed and dissatisfied. Especially for that meal to be $24, not including tipping the waiter. I would not call that southern food.

We tried on two other occasions to make it to this restaurant but management on both of those occasions decided to close early. This evening we arrived at 6pm and finally got in. This time we wished that we had chosen a different restaurant. We ordered the fish n chips, Shrimp dinner, fried chicken dinner and soup and sandwich. The menu had one price for the dinners but my credit card was charged more for each dinner. The dinners were fried so hard that we need bandage sfor the roof of our mouths. Ordered extra two fish but was only given one piece. They stated that it would be a $10 up charge for the second piece of fish. This restaurant was a NIGHTMARE and I will not return AGAIN. BUYER BE AWARE.

This was the absolute WORST food I have had in a long time from a restaurant!! The chicken was fried hard and crispy on the outside but undone on the inside the hush puppies were the same like how can you under fry a hush puppy and to add insult to injury I got food poisoning from this experience you can’t name your restaurant “SOUTHERN EATS” and you can’t cook???? Avoid this place disgusting!!!

The food was ok (4). Or server didn't like us (1). (11/22/2021). The lady serving the 3 gentlemen at the other table was nicer to us than the lady serving our table. The food was worth a return trip, but the lady in all black isn't. Food 4. Service 2. Overall 3.
